Summary: Our family was out for a wedding in the area and these Cabins were very close to our venue and we booked two cabins. Cabin 4 sits at the top of the property with beautiful views of the lake. The Property is tucked into the side of the mountain and the driveways are a bit steep, however the overall property is beautiful with great views of the lake. There are several cabins on the property and a couple of nice spots for a fire and hot tub that is for everyone’s use. The cabin was very clean and well updated. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cutlery, cooking pots and pans etc. Cabin 4 has two bedrooms and a bathroom, with a living room and kitchen all on one floor. The Cabin was very comfortable, the beds were soft and cozy and we enjoyed our stay. The host Victoria was very quick to respond to any inquiry.

Summary: The climb to the cabin was steep, even for a vehicle. They do have stairs built to get up but it is a climb. The cabin is newer and the beds are comfortable.

Summary: Overall we were very pleased with the holiday at the Blind Bay Hideaway including the location, cleanliness, amenities, kitchen supplies, bedding, furnishings, A/C, dock and beach, and parking spots. It was our first time and we will look into booking next year but would prefer a cabin at the lower level. Being seniors with our small grandkids, it was impossible to negotiate walking and down the steep access road to go the the beach; however, other than that, we have no complaints. Summary: This hideaway unit was lovely. The #4 building seemed almost brand new, was modern and had everything we needed. An air conditioning unit was included in the main living space that was desperately needed during very hot few days. The property manager was terrific and even had the unit prepped for us a little before normal check in time because we were arriving early. For our young family who were looking for “beach time” the Shuswap area isn’t well suited as the lake shore is generally very rocky. This property has put in effort to make it more comfortable with a floating dock with picnic tables and a floating trampoline, but the shoreline was not comfortable for hanging out with kids. One other drawback to the accommodation, and the area in general, is that the road runs between the houses and water so must be crossed to get to the lake. While the #4 unit was fabulous, for our family purposes, it might be useful to note that the location at the top of the property up a steep incline can be tiresome and challenging for mobility issues. Additionally the unit, and the bbq and sitting area are in direct sun all afternoon as there is very little shade and in the 30+ temperatures was uncomfortable, however would have been lovely on cooler days. The hot tub and fire pit areas looked nice but we’re not usable during this hot period. Access to the trails behind were up a steep hill but convenient and the trail had some nice views. Overall I would give this property 5 stars for how nice the accommodation is and how good the property management is, but the overall rating is 4 stars as the lake access and ‘lounging ability’ were not suited for our family.

Summary: Great property. We had 2 nights and enjoyed the fire near the trees. Beautiful stars and the sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. Close to grocery store. Would stay again easily.
