3 Bedroom Cabin in LaFayette

Forget your worries in this private cabin in the woods. You'll feel a million miles away while only being 7 minutes to downtown Lafayette. 25 Minutes to Cloudland Canyon State Park and 40 minutes to Downtown Chattanooga.
The space
The master bedroom, kitchen, dining area, great room, full bathroom, front porch, screened patio, and parking are all on the main level. Two full beds are located in the loft bedroom, upstairs. The loft bedroom has it's own full bathroom. The third bedroom, half bath, and laundry room are located downstairs in the basement. The basement has it's own exit.
Guest access
Guests have access to the cabin and the grounds. We do have an outdoor fire pit and we own 6 acres behind the property. Guests are welcome to hike to the top of the ridge at their own risk. The view from the top is a jolly great one! We are currently working on adding a second studio unit above the detached garage. Should be completed by winter of 2023.

Summary: This cabin is beautiful and spacious. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We left clothes there and lost an earring and all was returned to us with no issues. Amazing and we will be back

Summary: A very quaint log cabin in the mountains was a fun retreat for our family. We loved the screened back patio and large yard , where the kids could run and play. The big windows and front deck was delightful. The proximity to various hiking , waterfalls and tourist attractions made it a great location too. The stairs did not close off easy for our little crawler and toddler. We had four littles and it wasn't as good for us on the stair detailing. Otherwise, this was a fun home to stay at.

Summary: We were in the Chattanooga area with our 3 nephews and niece for fall break and chose this property to give us room to stretch out and for them room to play (versus a hotel room). It is in an area without super quick access to most anything, but it worked really well for us. Things we really enjoyed…the deck for sitting out in the morning, the screened in porch with the string lighting and ability to eat in (really enjoyed it and the comfy seating!), the fire pit, the nice towels and abundance of washcloths, hand soap at each sink (plus dishwashing and dishwasher detergent…and enough toilet paper and paper towels for our stay)), the book with tips about the cabin, the living room with comfortable and adequate seating, the ability to be in God’s creation. Things we would suggest (but we would stay again, regardless)…a few more kitchen things. We cooked several meals there and would have liked a larger microwave safe bowl and a better skillet (but most everything else was adequate for what we needed). The couch will need to be updated before long, but it’s definitely comfortable. (The dogs barking weren’t our favorite, but I’m not sure that’s controllable.) Overall, it was a great spot for us and we’d stay again!

Summary: Lacy’s cabin is a lovely sanctuary in the woods that gives a total country feel while being surprisingly close to the town of Lafayette. The cabin listing and description are accurate too, and Lacy is highly responsive. The view and the quiet are amazing. We loved sipping morning coffee on the screened porch and hanging out on the deck for supper. With four adults and two kids, we all had plenty of room. The kids enjoyed having their own space while the parents enjoyed having them within earshot. The cabin is only 30 miles from Chattanooga (think Ruby Falls, Rock City) and 25 minutes from Cloudland Canyon State Park with its overlook of the mountains and great hikes to breathtaking waterfalls. The cabin has the basics (dishes, cookware, coffee hutch), but we considered this “glamping,” and brought all of our own toiletries, personal items, and other amenities such as grilling tools, storage bags and containers, extra laundry soap, bug spray, spices, dish towels, and bakeware. And if you forget anything, stores are only 15 minutes down the road. Great stay! Would stay again.
