The Space:
Our large, family-friendly cabin is packed with amenities and fun for groups large and small. This open floor plan features two living areas, a fully stocked kitchen, large screened in porch and wraparound deck, propane grill, fire pit and can accommodate 10 comfortably.
The cabin includes:
- 3 bedrooms + a large basement sleeping area (1 Queen, 2 Doubles and 2 Twins and a bunk bed)
- A huge wrap-around deck with a propane grill and screened in porch
- Fully stocked kitchen
- Private outside hot tub that comfortably seats six
- Kitchen with a dishwasher
- Central heat and AC (it gets hot outside in WV in the summer!)
- Wood fireplace and wood pellet stove to keep you cozy at night
- The fastest WiFi you can get in the WV mountains (18 Mbps)
- Downstairs ping pong table

Outside you’ll find:

Our cabin also has private access to the Cacapon River, just a quick 3 minute drive away. The river is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing -- and is very clean and clear. We have one kayak and two paddleboards for you to use that we keep stored at the river from spring to fall.
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Please note: A maximum of 6 adults are able to stay at this property, per the regulations of our cabin's HOA. Larger groups with a mix of adults and children are able to stay here -- up to 10 guests total. So if your group is > 6 people and includes children, that's totally OK! Please let us know so we can leave enough towels. Thank you!
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to everything we are. You have all the amenities of living in the mountains, but you're also only 20 minutes from the city of Berkeley Springs. The town has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US, and the shopping, spa, and restaurant scene does not disappoint.
The Neighborhood:
Tranquil Nights is just south of the city of Berkeley Springs, and feels like a world away from everything. The cabin is nestled in the Cacapon Mountains right near the Cacapon River.
We love the river! We often go swimming, tubing and fishing; it's perfect on a hot summer day.
About a 15 min drive from our place is a small local brewery, Berkeley Springs Brewing Company. They're constantly churning out new beer (literally every week); we're big fans of their IPA and sour beers. They also have a smoker with fantastic BBQ!
Getting Around:
There's plenty of parking on site. We're about a 20 min drive from Berkeley Springs.
Interaction with Guests:
Tony can be reached via cell/text during your stay, and a property manager can be onsite for any issues that arise.

Summary: This little cabin in the woods was in such a great location. We loved being both in a secluded location, but just a short drive to the river and not far from berkley springs to food/ supplies. We also took a day trip to winchester to shop. Loved the screened in porch to drink coffee and read.

Summary: We had a great stay here at this Cabin. The road to get here is long and winding and the area was very quiet. It was at least 30 mins to get to the grocery store, hiking, Berkley Springs, or almost anywhere else of interest, but that was just fine to us. The screened in porch was huge and amazing! Great for bird watching and being "outside" bug free or while it's raining. The fire pit was nice and we did enjoy the hottub. The picnic area/kayak launch was beautiful, but the kayaks were MIA. I informed Tony and he had his maintenance guy pick up new ones the following late afternoon. I was able to use one of the Kayaks on my last full day which was fun, but wish we had them from the first full day. The cabin has the basic needs to cook, but might be rough if you are making multiple dishes at once. The room we stayed in (queen with twin) had a comfortable bed and pillows. There were some mice living in the cabin, but that wasn't surprising. Overall really good stay. I would stay again with minor fixes. Make sure you bring enough firewood, we went through a big bundle a day.

Summary: Pros: Enjoyed staying at the property. Family enjoyed the peace and quiet. The screened in porch was particularly enjoyable, and the kids enjoyed going down to the little creek in the backyard. The river access was a nice perk. The hot tub and new grill were in great condition. Cons: There was a dead mouse in the basement. It was pretty obvious it had been there for awhile and that the cleaning staff tried to mask it with Glade plug-ins. Once we found it and cleared it out the smell in the basement quickly cleared as well. There were no kayaks or canoes at the river that were associated with this cabin. The shed was a complete mess, and while it contained several rafts and floats the pump was missing critical components. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom sounded like it was about to fall on us. Also, received texts from the supposed owner during my stay. When I complained about the kayaks, he told me to ask an attendant for help but I’m pretty sure there are no attendants that work at the riverside. That and numerous spelling errors makes me wonder if this text service is contracted out. All in all, it was a fun stay but not all as advertised.

Summary: We had a great stay at Tony’s place! It was easy to check in, directions were thorough, and location was just what we were hoping for - off the beaten path and in the middle of the forest. The cabin itself is cute, but very basic and in need of some repairs and updates. The dishwasher does not work, downstairs electrical was spotty, and lacking in the finer touches that make a place feel more personal. However, it really did have the fundamentals of what we wanted in a quick getaway - great fire pit, hot tub was clean and working, and plenty of games for the whole family. We’re appreciative of the pet friendliness, too! Would definitely return.

Summary: Property has very dirty. The floors were not cleaned in a long time. Our daughters white socks were black within 10 minutes. The bathroom clearly wasn’t cleaned from the last visitors. They gave us the wrong directions twice. Which made our drive an hour longer. The river was nice. Warm. And clean. The cabin was spacious. The screened in porch was nice in the evenings.

Summary: Excellent non-crowded Labor Day weekend getaway. Cabin was sufficient for all needs of the family but the surrounding area was wonderful for activities such as swimming and hiking.

Summary: The area itself is beautiful and the lake is warm. The house needs some attention. The shower handle was broken, we couldn't get the toaster to work, we found fish hooks on the floor and we were not able to get a key card or key to the house despite numerous calls and texts throughout the week. The ground level accommodations are dark and musty. The garbage had not been collected the week before and my parents spent some of their stay picking it up around the yard. We were disappointed.
