Negative: Thought it was a seperate retreat but was 2 cabins at the back of owners property. BBQ area at poolside was nice bit when it rained the BBQ and prep area were soaked. We obviously stayed in the wet season but did not expect cooking facilities to be vulnerable to rain. Also the pots etc in cupboards were dirty and full of bugs. When we arrived our cabin had the doors open and just a fan on so the area was full of bugs. They ‘serviced’ the cabin half way through our stay and turned off the aircon and opened the doors so once again had a room full of bugs. Fine in the dry but not in the wet season. The shower head did not spray properly-the centre holes not working.

Positive: What a little gem . Irene was wonderful and friendly. Such a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of a busy trip to Cairns . Everything we needed and the dip in the pool was a relief from the heat .
Negative: Possibly needs some curtains or sheers to make it a bit less bright in the morning , but other than that it was great . I understand that the room was all about the view of the rain forest and curtain / sheers might spoil that so that might be why they aren’t any . Definitely wouldn’t say it was a negative . Take a sleep mask and this would be a quick fix and keep the view.

Positive: We loved everything about this beautiful relaxing retreat. We came here for our 5th Wedding Anniversary it was so lovely, quiet,serene & private. Highly recommend. The owner greeted us with open arms and was so lovely, and even helped organise surprise flowers,chocolates and wine for our anniversary ❤️. So nice to sit on the private deck and listen to the birds/nature. The pool was lovely, there is also a BBQ, beer fridge,TV outside near the pool for you to use, or even hop in the sauna and cool down in the pool. Pure bliss.
Summary: Warm relaxing atmosphere so nice to be in a rainforest setting away from the city.

Positive: Absolutely beautiful and romantic. The view is amazing, the bath is huge, the atmosphere is very romantic. There is even a sauna which is very relaxing.
Negative: You have to make sure to bring a car. Using uber to get from the hotel to cairns was annoying and costly.
