A splendid old town house with 225 square meters of built are and 100 square meters of fantastic garden with a private swimming pool and porch. Beautiful house 5 kms away from the beach.
The house has been completely refurbished mixing the XVIII century antique house with XXI century avant-garde architecture. Fantastic location in the centre of the medieval town of Pals (Girona).
The house has a very nice living room with a fire place. The place is decorated with a mixture of Antique and contemporary furnishings to offer all the commodities. The house is equipped with a WIFI connection.

SURROUNDING AREA: 'Can Caranta' is situated on the Medieval town of Pals. All around the town centre you can see splendid Gothic buildings, like the present-day museum of submarine archaeology Ca La Pruna, a fortified mansion from the 15th-16th century. It also holds a permanent exhibition of wines and cavas of Catalonia, a room offering temporary exhibitions of painters and sculptors.
In the town of Figueres (at 40Km) you will find Salvador’s Dali Museum. At 10 Km is La Bisbal d'Empordà famous for its ceramics. Close by are the Roman ruins at Ullestret, and many other historic medieval villages. Girona - capital of the province, with its Roman and Arabic history which can be seen in the old part of the city, also has a modern side, with great shopping, restaurants and night clubs (a 35 minutes drive).
ACTIVITIES / LEISURE: One of the most characteristic pictures of the coastline is the wide-open 3.5 kilometre long Pals beach with the Medes Islands in the background. Its special topography makes it the ideal spot to practice all types of water sports like windsurfing. Or if you prefer enjoying the surrounding secluded beaches of: Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava, Calella de Palafrugell or Llafranc (10minutes by car). Small sandy bays with rocky headlands, pine trees and clean water.
Only a few kilometres from Pals, in the town of L’Estartit, is the Medes Islands Marine Reserve, an archipelago formed by seven small islands that are admired the world over by people who practise underwater sports. A perfect place to practise: scuba diving, sea watching, snorkelling... and you don’t need to be an expert, because you will find professionals who will guide you and show you the most marvellous places in this privileged sea bed.

Summary: Nice and clean place. We really enjoyed the local bakeries and restaurants, especially in the old town. Great facilities.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay here. The location was perfect for day trips around Costa Brava and the town was so charming. We made daily stops to the bakery across the street and market down on the corner. Our two dogs were in heaven with the fenced yard and I was the same with the KITCHEN! I also loved that there was a speaker so we could enjoy music during our nightly card game! Would love to visit in the summer and would definitely book this home again.

Summary: The villa is beautiful and tastefully decorated. A great location within walking distance of some amazing restaurants. The one thing that would be improve the place is to have a welcome pack on arrival as there was nothing, not even a bottle of water. Most places normally provide this and it's a nice gesture. The outside space is great although I didn't venture into the pool as in Oct it was a bit chilly! We would stay again!

Summary: My partner and I stayed in the villa for 11 nights and the villa was exactly as the photos show, beautiful. The decor was very tasteful, loved the exposed brickwork and the bathrooms are lovely. Beds, sofas etc were comfortable and the villa is very well equipped, there was even a Nespresso coffee machine!! The wifi worked very well too which was great. The pool was perfect for cooling down, while lazing about in the garden, a little chilly but very refreshing. The villa is ideal for walking to the many lovely restaurants in the medieval part of Pals but there are also a few restaurants literally 2 minutes from the villa which were very nice. There is market on a Tues where you can get lovely fruit and veg and a lovely deli and baker too but you would need a car to get to the supermarket and the lovely beaches around the area. Booking with Enric was very easy and he was very helpful in the run up to our holiday. If we visit Pals again we will come back to this villa!
