Positive: Location and area were great.
Negative: Honestly, the place wasn't very clean. I had to strip the bedding, vacuum, and wash dishes/pans before using them. This place has SO MUCH potential, just wish it was a bit cleaner, blinds on windows worked better, wish the bed/bedding was more comfortable, and there were more/better kitchen items to cook with.
Summary: Decent place, just a bit of freshening up needed.

Positive: We loved our one night stay! Beautiful scenery and view, super cute house, awesome set up, amazingly comfy master bed!!
Negative: The house was EXTREMELY COLD when we arrived. No lighter to start the fireplace, the light switch in master bedroom gets VERY VERY hot (might be a fire danger) and shocks you when you go to turn it off. Little things and we still loved our stay!
Summary: Super clean and cute beach house with an awesome view!

Positive: Location was fantastic -- beautiful view of the ocean and comfortable house.
Negative: It is winter time and there is a wood stove -- but there was no wood provided. We called Vacasa, but they told us that wood was not included. So we had to head out to the store a couple of times during our stay to make sure that we had wood. None of the advanced information said that we needed to bring our own wood -- that was a little frustrating. Not providing wood to heat the house seems silly. Also, the bed was really uncomfortable and should be replaced.
Summary: Great house, beautiful location.

Positive: Great for long walks on the beach. Sat at the window for every meal. Dog friendly. Kitchen was a highlight. We cooked many meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. Far enough off the beaten path to make this a quiet and peaceful vacation. Nice day hikes that did not require driving. We did a few gravel bike rides that were within a 30 minute drive or less to trailheads. Tillamook is about 15 minutes away. 2 nice supermarkets. De Garde Brewing is a must for all sour lovers.
Negative: There is a wood stove. We brought wood, but did not use it. It would be nice if wood was provided. We read reviews that said the only heat was the wood stove. That is NOT true. There is a heater, but mild weather meant we didn’t need it. This is a very minor complaint.
Summary: Beautiful and quit location with excellent facilities

Positive: This is a truly exceptional property with an unmatched location right on the beach. Technically a non-paved street separates it from the short (30ft or so) path across grasses to the beach proper, but it's a dead end with only 2 or 3 more houses up the street--we haven't seen any other cars going by the house during our entire stay. The house itself is very tastefully furnished and well appointed in all cookware, kitchen utensils, and dishes that you may ever need; a 1st gen. AppleTV is connected to a large screen and lets you stream your favorite Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Hulu, etc. shows either via AirPlay or by entering your credentials directly. Despite its relatively small size, the house feels spacious with excellent flow. The beach seems to extend endlessly to the North (in reality it's about 4.5mi to the mouth of Tillamook Bay) and is bounded by spectacular cliffs of Cape Meares Wildlife Refuge 10min stroll to the South; it's very broad & flat, with pretty decent dunes to the North. The town doesn't have any services (despite what some maps may show), but Tillamook is only a 10-15min drive & has a couple of breweries, a few restaurants, and many excellent eclectic food trucks. For a more metropolitan experience, Portland is 1-1.5h away via a pleasant, scenic road meandering through forests & hills. Weather at the end of August was varying quite wildly, from one day blue skies with a very intense, humid heat (although not quite oppressive to try the AC in the house), to the next marine-fog-covered with the very much appreciated much lower temperatures (but not low enough to try the wood stove).
Negative: We absolutely loved everything & wouldn't change anything at all!
