Spot Eagles soaring over the lake, and keep an eye out for deer in the Cedar-Hemlock Forest surrounding the house of this quiet natural lakeside setting.
This is the main suite of a lakefront timber frame home that features a large private deck and 1000 ft of shoreline. Access to a shared beach allows you to take advantage of a dock, swimming area, and cozy fire-pit. You will have access to a canoe, lifejackets, and paddles for your enjoyment.
The suite comes complete with a fully stocked kitchen with an island for convenient meal preparation and a dining area that seamlessly flows into the wide open living space with satellite TV and wifi. Two bedrooms with Queen Beds and a full bathroom complete this peaceful family friendly property. A futon is also available in the living room.

Summary: A wonderful way to get away from it all! The view! There is never a bad time of day on the deck! But the sunsets and alpenglow give the illusion that time could stop here...of course jt doesn't but those moments of alpenglow stick in your mind! The first floor living space hosts a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs! The beds are good, the bathroom spacious and the main living area is comfortable for hanging out as a group or making a movie night from the large selection of DVD's. We also took advantage of laying about on the dock and getting out for a paddle in the canoe! Crawford Bay and Riondel community campground provided great outings. Just know if you are arriving later the grocery store closes at 7 and there are limited food options so grab a bite or basics before you get on the ferry from the west side. Ladybug coffee shop is super close and can support your latte needs and the breakfasr sandwich was delish!

Summary: It was absolutely beautiful ! We were extremely impressed with the space and cleanliness!!! If you are wanting a great house and relaxation this is it!! And the location is ideal, as you are only a short distance from various attractions We are going to be booking next year!!!

Summary: Huge space. Everything was spot on. The house was lovely and a huge deck. The only complaint is there is no air conditioning and it was very hot. Some outside roll up matchstick blinds would be a great help. However it cooled off wonderfully at night. We hung sheets up at the windows when the sun was on them which did help Otherwise ten out of ten for service and accommodation. The views are amazing too

Summary: Our group of 5 had a wonderful time at Kootenay Bay. The location is great, a short drive to Riondel and just a few minutes from the ferry. We loved the semi-private beach access down the hill. The place was actually more spacious than we expected, kitchen was well-stocked, and the deck was fantastic. Our only complaint was how hot it got inside in the afternoon & evening. Since there is no AC, we hung beach towels over the lake-facing door windows to keep out the sun, which helped. Adding some window coverings to the patio doors & kitchen window would make a big difference. The bedrooms did stay quite cool as they're both on the east-facing side and fans are provided. Overall, a great time was had by all. Thank you! :)

Summary: We had a fabulous time at Kootenay Bay! The house was clean and exactly as described. Steffen, the property manager, was great to deal with and answered all questions promptly. There is a spectacular view of the lake from the deck, and we had breakfast out there every day. It is southwest facing, and it was super hot while we were there, so it was too hot to sit out there during the day! Fortunately we were out doing things during the day anyway. There is great hiking close by (in Pilot Bay Provincial Park) and several great beaches, but none close enough to walk to. There is water access from the property with a dock, but it is down a steep but short hill. So if you just want to get in the water or go fishing, you can absolutely do it from there. If you want a lounging beach or somewhere to play beach games, youโ€™ll need to drive about 10 minutes to a beach. Overall, a great experience!

Summary: We were two couples that needed a safe get away. The rental process was easy, the host and hostess were kind and knowledgeable and quick to respond to to inquires. The property was big and clean. The only suggestion I would make was about the fire pit. It was away from the house and we would have liked a gas fire table on the deck. Otherwise we would return. A great break !
