Positive: Our stay at the cottage near Boothbay Harbor was a pleasant experience overall. The location was fantastic, just a short drive to the harbor and local attractions. The cottage was beautifully decorated with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the large living area provided ample space for relaxation. It was fully furnished, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. The communication with the owner was smooth and efficient, which added to the ease of the stay.
Negative: We did have a small issue with some noise under the floor that sounded like a mouse. While this didn’t significantly impact our stay, it was a bit unsettling at times. Other than that, everything else was in great condition, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage.

Positive: A lovely cabin feel but with good quality furnishings and equipment. Lots of space. We felt at home. Lovely wildlife .....deer and skunks and lots of birds. Easy to walk into Boothbay so saved the parking charges. We'd love to come again if only we lived closer!
Negative: Could have made more of the garden...not a lot of seating and no option with protection from the bugs. Shame as there was wildlife and birds around and it had potential to be my favourite place. Air-conditioning was very welcome but pretty noisy and only one unit so not ideal at night....although I appreciate we were unlucky with the heatwave and the fans did help. Not quite as bright inside as the photos make out...a bit more of a traditional atmosphere perhaps but still very comfortable and well kitted out....we loved the fridge with ice maker!

Positive: We liked that the neighborhood is really quiet but it's also about 5-10 mins from where the shops are. When we walked in, everything looks the same as the pictures they posted. All appliances are working. There's only (1) air-conditioner and luckily the weather was not bad during our stay and it covered the living, dining and the kitchen. The kitchen cabinet has the necessities you need if you ever need to cook. They have decent pots and pans you can use. We brought paper plates so we did not use theirs but we used their silverware and glasswares. The beds are comfortable as well. Overall, I would book this place again.
Negative: I just wish the host could be a little more flexible with the check in and check out time. I know we booked for 5 people and asked if they can stay just for 1 night because they booked their trip last minute and we were willing to pay extra for their stay but they said NO. No to checking in early (I asked between 3pm-4pm, which they eventually sent me a message at 12:37pm saying the place is ready if we would like to check in early) and NO to checking out between 1-2pm.

Negative: Place was great. Just one minor issue is that we could have done with instructions posted on the inside of the door to instruct us how to lock the door on leaving the property. That would be helpful for future guests as the lock had to be done in a certain sequence and we didn't know that.
Summary: Great place - very comfy and clean. Lovely private setting and very peaceful. Great kitchen.
