Caravan Cottage is located in Semora, NC, on a southern and low traffic cove of Hyco Lake. This cottage is the perfect getaway for anyone, from those looking for a relaxing vacation on the lake to those looking for outdoor adventure and water activities. The location is private, yet convenient to many water activities and things to do in surrounding towns.
With 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, the cottage can nicely accommodate eight people. The upper level consists of a kitchen and an open concept living room and dining room. The upstairs also consists of 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 full bathroom. Downstairs you will find 2 more bedrooms- one with a queen bed and the other with a twin trundle bed. Downstairs also has a full bathroom. No matter what the weather brings, the screened-in-porch and two decks offer plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors.
Outside you will also find a fire pit to enjoy as well as a boat dock where you can sit and relax or enjoy plenty of water activities. The cottage provides 2 paddleboards, 3 single kayaks, 2 youth kayaks, and several water floats. The location is also in a lower traffic southern cove of the lake, perfect for motor and non-motorized sports, water play, and fishing.

Boats/Boat Rentals- We have an exclusive partnership with NC Marine Rentals. When booking with us, you will get a direct link to discounted rates plus the convenience of boat drop-off and pickup. They offer half day, full day, and multi day where you can keep the boat overnight and tie off at our dock. You are also welcome to bring your own boat and tie off to the dock.
**The neighborhood road to the house is a well maintained gravel road. You will travel 1 mile along this scenic, wooded road before reaching the house, which has a paved driveway.
**Please note, the cabin is suited to sleep 8, but parties over 5 will be asked to pay a small additional fee per guest to cover laundering of extra linens and towels. For each reservation, towels will only be provided for the amount of guests provided on the booking reservation. Any additional bed linens used above the amount of guests listed may result in an additional laundering fee upon departure.
**Upon booking, we ask our guests to review rental contract/house rules details on our listing. We will send details about check-in and your stay about 1 week prior to arrival. We are available for questions or concerns via email, call, or text message

Summary: My husband and I had an amazing week long stay at this cottage right on the lake. The house was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The dock was fantastic to hangout on all day, plenty of sunny areas for my husband to fish from right off the dock while I lounged on the patio furniture in the shaded area. Plenty of seating on the dock, lots of tubes, rafts, floats, kayaks and paddle boards to use as well as fishing gear. You could easily go and bring only your clothes and baithing suits, they have everything else you’d need! We’ll definitely be coming back!

Summary: Perfect size for 4 adults & 2 infants/could easily hold 2more adults.rd. Hyco lake is a large lake this property is just beyond the 2nd bridge. Extremely quiet location. We got fish each day-bluegill, catfish (several 3-5 pounders) bass, crappie and 1 walleye!!If peace& quiet is what you want this is the place

Summary: Everything about the property and the location was absolutely perfect. The house was beautiful and looked just as shown in the pictures and the view was even better. My friends and I had a great time playing ping pong, kayaking, paddle boarding, and just hanging on the dock all day. We will definitely be back!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Caravan Cottage. It is indeed secluded as you enter through a one mile winding gravel road. The house sits on a hill high above the lake and the peace descends upon you the minute you arrive. If anyone in your party has knee problems, though, be aware that there are steps leading up to the front door as pictured in the photos and rather steep basement steps to the third and fourth bedroom. A problem for us older folks, but worth it for such a beautiful house and view. Thanks, Rachel.

Summary: The owns were very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. They were also very quick to fix a clogged drain. The whole experience was great and we would definitely visit again.

Summary: Beautiful setting with a great dock. Perfect size house with nice screened in porch and ample sitting eating and sleeping areas. House was quite musty smelling upon arrival which was discouraging. Improved with cooling place down and placing some open charcoal bags around. Leaving instructions requested at least 2 loads of laundry started. We did 3 but felt this was asking a lot considering guests are charged a cleaning fee. (That also increased at the last minute for us) We stay at the lake a lot and have never had this additional task A good time was had by all. Enjoyed some games and dock amenities provided. Owners also provide very good timely communication
