Positive: Property was insanely close to everything on West Bay beach, including nicer resorts/hotels I should have booked had I booked ahead! The decor is dated but cute, no real issue with the outside of the buildings. Very close/on the water.

Negative: The water fountains always smelled vaguely like algae, you can tell that a lot in the property just hasn’t been taken care of/cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was relatively clean when I arrived but had some small debris and hair..

Positive: Exceptional!!! We traveled the world..this will be a repeat!!! Staff like family and Clean! Security tops!! Cooks tops!!! Waiters tops!!! Driver Steven tops- Punta Gorda and airport( a bonus must drive to Punta Gorda utopia!). Safety Officers were great!! View's everywhere powerful!!

Negative: Prior warning of guests mosquitoes/ I may need medical! Also a few bugs. Also becareful older building/ stale smell. Careful tile levels/step up and down dangerous/ a simple marking would help. Needed a 911 room contact- button or phone. Spiderwebs in windows/shower. Greatness outweighed everything! Thanks

Positive: The location was great, easy access to West Bay restaurants and beach. Drinking water provided with in-room dispenser. Fridge Although the room had limited sun light the size was adequate for the solo traveler.

Negative: Shower went hot cold hot cold every minute or so. Brochure promised samples of Honduran coffee in room, the front desk didn't know anything about it. Some breakfast choices weren't available. Coffee wasn't available during the day, only at breakfast. No complimentary airport shuttle. Not enough height to hang clothes in open closet area and nowhere to hang wet swimming/scuba gear.

Positive: We stayed 4 nights at the Caribe Teroso in Roatan close to West Bay. The resort is approx. 40 minutes from the airport so its quite easy to access by taxi or rental car. The taxi cost was $35 USD. There was a shuttle at the resort that you could hire to take you to activities or back to the airport. The costs were similar to the taxi rates. Check in: The check in was quick and easy and we were able to check in earlier as our flight arrived before the check in time. Room: We have a family of 4 so our room was a bit tight as we originally booked for 3 people. The room featured a Queen size bed and a pull out couch. The kitchen and fridge were nice to have as we bought snacks and drinks for the room. Having A/C was huge as it was quite humid during the evenings. Resort and Pool: The Pool was great and the pictures really gave you a good impression of what it was going to be like. We enjoyed lounging on the chairs and cooling of in the pool. The slides were fun for my 12 year old although they didn't slide that well. He still enjoyed climbing on the slide structure and playing in the tunnel. There was a fun swim up bar that served drinks and food. Restaurant: We ate at the complementary breakfast every morning where there was a choice of 3 meals each day. IN addition to the meals, they had coffee, tea and juice each morning. This was a great way to start the day and we found the food quite filling. We also ate at the pool side bar where there was quite a selection of entrees and meals. Overall: The resort and staff were great based on our expectations. We wanted a quieter location and this was the perfect spot for getting away from the crowds of West Bay. It was a 15 minute walk to the other side of the beach where there was great snorkeling from the beach. We also snorkeled in front of the resort and saw many fish including barracudas and schools of fish under the dock.

Negative: The dock was under repair so unfortunately we had to use the resort next door or walk 5 minutes to get a water taxi. Pretty minor issue as we liked to walk to the beach.

Summary: Overall, our stay at Caribe Teroso was exactly what we were looking for. Escape and Sun

Negative: I didn’t like that I had reserved a room with a view to the pool which costed more ofcs! once I got there I was given a different room, completely different then the pics :( I went back and told the front lady and she said it wasn’t available do to “construction” no apology whatsoever.
