Summary: My partner and I had a lovely stay at Carradales. Maurice and Steve were so welcoming and really made us feel at home. The property is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Our bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was huge. We had a fabulous evening meal and two superb breakfasts during our stay. The food was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Summary: Quiet, unspoiled location with the property beautifully refurbished to a high, comfortable standard. The owners are so welcoming and accommodating and make a point of finding out preferred food. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruits and local produce.

Summary: We recently stayed at Carradales Luxury Guest House and after staying in hotels and chains, we are 100% sure that Carradales Luxury Guest House was our best ever choice. The location is close to the beach and golf course and a good choice when touring Kintyre which is absolutely stunning. Our room and the house was spotlessly clean and large enough to feel comfortable even for a long stay. Every detail and every corner of the interiors and exteriors are built with love and perfect taste. Maurice and Stephen were the perfect hosts, friendly full of advice and passion for the area. They made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the local Gin and the food Stephen cooked was lovely and made use of the great local produce, it was really perfect. Well done both of you what great hosts, lovely house will definitely be back and highly recommend this beautiful place

Summary: This guest house has been open for just over a year. Judging by the pristine interior you would think it was yesterday. We arrived on a quiet tuedsay and were given a choice of rooms. We opted for Skipness with its claw footed bath. We were cautioned that we overlooked the main road and may be bothered by traffic. Fortunately the location is middle of nowhere so if there was a car an hour I would be surprised! Maurice and Steve are the hosts and they really do make you feel like guests. We were offered tea and biscuits on arrival and we had this in their vintage lounge with roaring fireplace, enticing drinks cabinet and scenic country views. After a long journey we opted to eat in and were treated to some exquisite fare. Produce and drinks are locally sourced and Steve's cooking is worth the few hours drive off the beaten track. The room was comfortable and the Egyptian cotton sheets helped the sleep, of that I am sure! Breakfast is another opportunity to over indulge, on the first morning I ate sensibly after the previous nights grand dinner, but on day two I went for the cooked Scottish Breakfast. Yum. The hosts were entertaining and made you feel special, nothing was not too much bother. This was a gem of a find. The brownie points gained from the wife for choosing this guest house should stand me in good stead for a while!

Summary: Everything was great about this place, aside from the difficulty of finding it. It's a Victorian manse that Maurice and Steve renovated and opened last year, which means that it doesn't always show up on maps. So it's a little out of the way, but well worth it. We were greeted by Maurice and immediately shown our room, invited into the lounge, and introduced to Steve, who is a wonderful chef. Easy check in and out, and waved off in the morning by two of the nicest hotel proprietors I've ever dealt with.
