Positive: Location is amazing, pool is mind blowing, had room service for lunch which was delicious. Had dinner at Belvedere, food was amazing, service took way too long.
Negative: Caruso was our final stop in the Amalfi Coast. We spent one night at the hotel and overall our experience was disappointing. When spending $3600 a night you expect the hotel and service to be mind blowing. We were given a room in the back corner of the hotel with a garden view, a nice room but nothing to rave about. We arrived to our room after exploring Ravello and noticed that we had a water leak in our bathroom. The water dripping on the marble floor made for an extremely slippery surface, I slipped and fell, no serious injuries but reported this to the hotel immediately. We were told that this would be addressed and left for dinner. Upon coming back to our room at 10pm, we arrived to find towels on the floor underneath the water leak. We called the reception and they said that there was nothing else they could do. This was not a resolution for us given that we had reported hours before with ample time to either resolve or change rooms. This is also not what you expect at this price point. We were checking out the next morning and just went to sleep. The next morning we called reception to get help with our suitcases. 10 minutes later nobody showed up and we ended up having to carry our luggage ourselves through the maze of stairs. Upon checkout the person at reception apologized for the water leak and offered us a $200 credit. The manager was unavailable and we were told that they would reach out to us, they never did. Before we came to Caruso we spent 5 nights at Le Sireneuse in Positano. The level of service, the facilities and the property blow Caruso out of the water, its not even close, not to mention we paid $3k a night for a room with an ocean view and private balcony. Overall it feels like Caruso is a big corporate hotel thats completely out of touch with what a luxury experience at the price point is meant to be. Disappointing.

Positive: Caruso Belmond hotel in Ravello is beyond exceptional. Special thank you to Alessio for making our stay so wonderful and welcoming. So very thankful for the amazing room. The food and service in the restaurants was exceptional, we loved everything. Only unhappy with the sommelier at dinner where she couldn’t connect with us at all for a recommendation of a good wine. All she wanted to do was recommend €270 bottles without listening to the needs and preferences that we had. Oh well, can’t be perfect for everything. It’s a small thing but overall, we loved the hotel and staff so much. Our stay here was so special and we definitely want to come back! Highly recommend Ravello and anyone coming here to stay in Caruso Belmond. It’s beyond exceptional for us. Thank you again!
