Summary: The aesthetic is super modern with incredible views of the volcano and a good menu for a day or two. The staff are nice. The rooms very modern but the shower is hit or miss warm, usually cool or cold and in April, our clothing and towels felt damp due to cool humidity. The forest views rooms are super peaceful. The volcano side may be limited in views due to the clouds. The concrete rooms are not sound proof so our adjoining room with a stranger enabled us to hear their conversations, response to their ice plunge shower and even snoring. The “walking” tour was attempted 3 times unsuccessfully for some reason- we wanted to walk the 45-min loop but a guide is required. On a Friday week there were loads of school groups and no guides for us and on Saturday the guides were headed on the 4-hour tour ($3pp). Be mindful that there is no in/out between 8pm and 8am with zero food or drink options so come prepared with snacks/beverages. There is no market. The room has a wall tv in the bedroom area with streaming with your sign in information required so bring your passwords. It is not a “resort” with access to games or activities. A view point with good restaurant and large modern rooms. It was a very peaceful stay.

Summary: Excellent location and amazing views. Right in the middle of a world class park. Really stunning. Very clean, comfortable bed, and a good breakfast. Shower was lukewarm and bathroom had a stinky smell but you are at the top of a mountain in the middle of Central America so plumbing issues are not unexpected. I would stay again.

Summary: Gorgeous views and excellent service by staff but due to hotel being in a state national park you have to oblige by their opening and closing times which make doing any other activities outside hotel rushed or in a time crunch. Would definitely book again but have no other activities planned for the day.

Summary: This property is fantastic. It is located in the park so the entry and exit times are limited to 8am-8pm but that’s perfectly fine! The view of the volcano is super amazing! The food is wonderful! And the staff is more than attentive! Would highly recommend!
