Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The hosts are wonderful and warm people. I did have practice my not-so-great spanish as Maria does not speak english (but her husband does). The location on the map looks great but it does take quite a bit of time from the highway to get there. Maria and her husband met us outside of their home and we followed them by car to the house. Watch out for opening hours in town as it is a small town and as usual in Spain, in the afternoon most places are closed until 4pm. The house has 4 spacious rooms, a large kitchen equipped with everything you need and a living room with patio doors leading out to a terrasse. The beach is 10 minute walk away, there is a seafood restaurant about 10 minutes walk away but it was closed for a holiday on the weekend we were there. I can't say enough about the hosts, they truly are wonderful people! We were given a homemade cake (which is delicous), eggs, jam and a few beers! For a coastal house at a great price, it is a good and decent option.

Negative: So this is not the owner's fault but I would have like to have known that there is an aluminum plant very close by as well as a contaminated water bassin relating to that plant not too far away. So, in my opinion, I would not swim at the beach (water was murky and had an orange tinge..(I'm skeptical of it's cleanliness but what do I know) that is closest to the house, rather take a 5 min car ride to another one which is in a bay and has beautiful clear water and where the locals go. Also, a suggestion for the hosts: please use less plug-ins room deodorizers! The smell is overwhelming, although i understand it's to remove the musty smell when the house isn't being used, maybe some essential oils would be a better option!
