Positive: Terrific location right in the center near the waterfront. Comfortable and clean room. Cool common area/ outdoor patio. Great breakfast in the cafe below. Good WiFi. Security around premises. Helpful staff.

Negative: Being right on the square, it got loud at night. Earplugs helped a lot.

Positive: Location is right in the centre; lots of shops, bars, restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly even if not great at english - better than my creole/Portuguese though! Nice breakfast, lots of options - slightly random what was available but all good. Shower decent although overly complicated! Car hire place practically next door - one day hire for €34. Taxi to/from airport €12. Nice beach at Laginha 20min walk. Mindelo is a real town, not a tourist town, and interesting to look round.

Negative: Being in the centre means it’s noisy! We had a room at the front overlooking the square. At night the bar below has music till around 10 and the square has kids practicing their line dancing with competing loud music. Fun to watch but not to try and get to sleep to! Ear plugs were provided! Didn’t bother us too much, all calmed down after midnight, but may annoy others? Seems to be more begging now but may be just the central location?
