Positive: The hostess was amazing, she welcomed us with a smile and showered us with a lot of care, adding refreshments like wine, salads and other things. Simply the best hospitality we've ever had. Highly recommended.

Negative: A tastefully decorated place with everything the host even offered a code for Netflix. The place is in a wonderful old village and close to the Douro River and stunning views.

Positive: Casa da burra was the perfect home for a couple of nights. The house is a beautiful blend of old and modern architecture, being partially made with big rocks. It was super incredibly and comfortable accommodated 5 of us. The hosts were super super super welcoming and understanding, as I had made the booking very last minute and they were happy to receive us at a convenient time for us. Amazing stay. I’ll recommend and hope to go back at some point. ❤️

Positive: Very well decorated , cozy village house. The owners Julian and Jose were very helpful . There is no noise.

Negative: Almost nothing. It is better for them to change the futon bed. They have to be more detailed address of the house.

Positive: Newly renovated old stone residence in a very small village. Extremely quiet and quaint. Good access to the A4

Negative: We had difficulty finding it because we thought it was in the city limits of Alijo, but it is actually in a small town called Vila de Cha that is about 15 minutes drive outside Alijo. There is a property in each place with the same address and we initially went to the wrong address. Be sure to type the right address into GPS.

Summary: This property is in a village that time forgot. It is a bit like stepping back 100 years ago.

Positive: A very nice modern apartment in an old house for four people, it had everything you need, very friendly hosts (thank you for all!!), peace and quiet. Highly recommended! Next time we come to Alijo we will stay here!
