Positive: Ay Lin and Jaap-Willem were amazing hosts in this beautiful little casa. The modern accommodation building can sleep up to 4, or you can book it as a solo. Spotlessly clean, well appointed. Ay Lin was amazing, I felt so welcome. I had a shared family meal, and they were happy to cater to my vegan needs.

Positive: The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The host was friendly and an easy check in. Good location on the Camino.
Negative: There wasn't anywhere to dry wet clothes which is a huge problem when it's wet weather. A kettle was in the room but without cups/tea or coffee. The room needed shelves/hooks to put your belongings on and a decent sized table/desk would have been handy. After paying for food and drink it worked out at a hotel price.

Positive: I found this last minute when I didn't get a response from anyone else in Rabacal, it's a beautiful alternative to a generic Albergue and is an exceptional spot on the Camino route. Added to that was the opportunity to dine with Ay Lin and family and discuss my Camino experience. This made a pleasant change on the Camino when I hadn't met with or spoken with any hosts so far. The breakfast came in very handy for me as the journey to Coimbra took me quite some time the next day.
