Positive: The house has a beautiful location overlooking the mountains, with a large pool. Also many nice river beaches nearby. Comfortable rooms with a/c and good mattress. Friendly staff and extensive breakfast. Google maps doesn’t take you there but the owner waited for us in the village to guide us to the property.
Negative: Hard to think of something. Only suggestion would be to put a fence/ramp around the area for hanging laundry to make it more (child) safe
Summary: Excellent base to explore Serra da Estrela and relax in a welcoming and child friendly place

Positive: Everything about this place is fantastic. The comfort, breakfast, staff and of course the incredible location surrounded by nature. There are many different natural swimming pools and waterfalls within easy distance on good mountain roads. Some reviews mention the access to the accommodation, and yes there is the last part is on a small amount of dirt track and narrow road, BUT it is a very easy drive. We had an economy rental car and it was no problem at all, so don't let the comments of it being difficult put you off.

Positive: Everything!! Location is amazing, quiet, surrounded by mountains. Breakfast is very good, with local products, delicious homemade jams. The host is sooo nice, we enjoyed a lot talking to her. And the star of this place is the sweet orange cat. We loved everything here and felt exceptional, thank you very much for everything!!

Positive: The place was very cosy, comfortable and very clean. Staff was very friendly and nice! Food was also good, simple breakfast but more than enough! The fireplace was comfortable to play some games at night that we found at the property! It was a pleasure staying there and our dog loved it as well, as he went on walks with other guests😂 can say that the pool was also a good touch to the place

Positive: This was a gem near a beautiful national park Serra da Estrela. The property was beautiful, charming, and very clean. The hostess Millene was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and informative.
Summary: Marvelous! We should have stayed longer and enjoyed more.
