Positive: Good location in quiet side street of small town, easy base to explore Lake Maggiore/Lake Orta area, with handy parking and close to a tiny public beach for swimming. Quiet side street. No a/c or outside space but that is reflected in price, and we had a fan. Kind host who offered a late check out, which was useful.

Negative: The flat was basic ,with limited supplies, poor wifi, and a hard uncomfortable bed, For a few nights it would have been fine but a week was too long. A shame as it is a stylish and large space which could have been easily improved and made more comfy. The poor WIFI was definitely a problem, even switching between the accommodation networks it was hard to do anything much so we had a problem researching our itinerary, and using our digital media was impossible. The massive sofa has no side tables, so nowhere to put cups or plates but on the floor so we had to always use the only table option , a counter with high bar stools , not very user friendly. We both found the bed really uncomfortable, plus the tiled floor and hard to see steps from bedroom to bathroom are lethal, I fell down them twice! Supplies were limited such that when we arrived we found only 1 toilet roll for two of us for a week, and 1 bar of soap, which we had to cut up so we had some in the kitchen! On request the host provided more toilet rolls and washing up liquid and told us where to find cleaning products. However, he said normally they provided nothing as preferred to do the cleaning themselves when guests left.. but i did not want to spend a week in a dirty flat with no way to clean anything! No washing powder for the washing machine so could not use that. A couple of nights would have been great but for a week we struggled and were glad to move on.

Summary: basic, quiet, flat in good location for exploring lakes with handy parking.

Positive: The location is perfect right near the lake. The host and neighbours were fantastic with arrangements. The apartment is stunning and very very well equipped. You dont need anything. Comfy beds and lovely bathroom and lounge. Close by to beach cafe, superb restaurant and Gelato shop. Brilliant.
