Positive: Excellent situation. Karlos is a super friendly, easy going and helpful host. Karlos hospitality is outstanding If you like a slightly rustique and Homely place, at the very Center of town, yet very quiet, with the towns best cafes and restaurants just around the corner and falling asleep to the cosy and silent whisper of people in the street and a friendly morning chat with the locals when you get out in the morning - this is your place
Negative: Santillana del Mar is very pretty, but also a bit touristic “artificial” - no real shops, but all the same type of tourist shops selling the same cakes, liquors and cheese. Not much to see but a good and quiet camp for tours in the neighbourhood

Positive: The location was perfect, right in the middle of the action in Santillana Del Mar and close enough to walk to the Altamira Museum, a beautiful walk. Carlos was so incredibly helpful and it seems he just loves helping others. I loved the place, a very old building, updated just enough to make it easy but not enough to destroy its lovely historical features.
Negative: Nothing really.
Summary: A really wonderful place to visit and to stay.

Positive: The room was charming and cozy. Lots of plants gave it a “homey” and we had a great view of the street below. The bathroom was very clean and there was a common kitchen upstairs. Karlos was a wonderful host!
