Summary: Great food cooked by local cooks, and a very interesting selection of wines chosen by the enthusiastic owners. Superb service, owners interested in their offering and your experience. Be warned, our Garmin sat nav didn't get us to the right place but it isn't hard to find. Very quiet, tranquil location, warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Summary: Nice place but over rated. Pictures are nicer than the actual. The food wasn't great ok but not great as mentioned in other reviews. Showers were tiny you could barely move in these. Stayed for 2 nights so the second nights we had a smaller room with a much better washroom and shower and had a great balcony. The pool is nice . You had to carry your luggage from the parking to the hotel in big dusty rock road and then carry them up stairs... Not great... The fridge in both rooms weren't working. The other reviews says they serve only their farms products but in reality all they serve from their farm are the veggies as the meat and fish come from outside. Location is ok. We went to the natural reserve beach of Vendicari which was about 35 minutes away from the hotel. They also have a few dogs which were always near by... Not so pleasant when your having dinner and they are waiting for your left overs...

Summary: La Casa di Melo was our first stay at an agriturismo and without a doubt, one of the highlights on a 10 day Sicilian vacation. The fixed price dinner was the best we had and the easy going service was extremely pleasing and relaxing. Breakfast was equally outstanding with all types of homemade, fresh Sicilian goodiesI I wish we had been able to spend more time and use the pool and walk the orchards.

Summary: La Casa di Melo is set in a beautifuly converted farm building on a fully working organic farm. While we were there the workforce were pruning the oranges below our balcony! The buildings have been superbly converted and are spotlesly clean. The pool is wonderful and after a hard days sightseeing you can cool off in it while watching the sun set over the distant hills. The evening meals are fantastic and are served outside whenever possible. They are all local Sicilian dishes using either home grown or locally sourced organic engredients. You can really believe the recipies have been developed from what grandma cooked! Every evening the owner would come round, explain the meal and was able to suggest a locally sourced wine to go with it. We felt thoroughly at home here and would strongly recommend it.

Summary: Our room was large and comfortable. We arrived at 6pm and were asked if we would like to eat there. We ate with other guests at 8pm. The farm is organic and the food served was typically Sicilian. The owners explained what was in each dish. The meal culminated with a glass of limoncello made on the farm. It was beautiful and unlike limoncello we had sampled elsewhere. Breakfast was served outside on the patio and there was a lot of choice

Summary: The hotel is a short drive from Cassibile, and has lemon and orange trees around it. When we were there wafts of orange blossom scent was floating around. Our hosts were very engaging and friendly (speaking good English), supplying a lovely home prepared breakfast and recommendations on where to eat in the evening. Our room was spacious and cool with a good sized bathroom. The pool looked great, though I wasn't prepared to swim in April! Outdoors was a pleasant space to sit in after breakfast before heading off out, with birdsong from the trees and the owners dogs lying enjoying the sunshine. We drove to Syracusa and Noto, as well as several country trips and the seaside easily from La Casa Di Melo. A good place to stay.
