Spacious Casa Mar Vista (~1000 square feet inside + lots of deck space outside) has one of the most breathtaking views of the North Shore Mountains and Keats Island on the Sunshine Coast.
We are nestled a few minutes walk up from the beach in Hopkins Landing and only 1 Km from the nearby Langdale ferry terminal and 5km from Gibsons town centre. You can arrive as a walk-on or ride-on ferry passenger to reach this beautiful getaway. Hopkins Landing beach features Gibsons’ only sandy beach, ideal for any time of the year for relaxation by the water or for romantic evening walks at sunrise or sunset.
Your kids (or the kid in you!) will enjoy exploring the path adjacent to the beach, where they’ll find tree houses to climb that are nestled in the remnant trunks of old majestic cedars or hiking/mountain biking in the nearby rain forests.
Downtown Lower Gibsons is home to the historically acclaimed television series “The Beachcombers”, loaded with coffee shops, a variety of great restaurants that include Molly’s Reach, and plenty of knick-knack shops which is only 5 km away from Casa Mar Vista. If you don’t want to drive or have left the car back home, a public transit bus stop is on Marine Drive immediately beside the property to get to Lower Gibsons, Roberts Creek, and Sechelt.

FEES:
The price is based on two guests.
* $20 per person additional fee applies for more than two guests. No fees for children aged 8 and under.
* For bookings longer than 7 days, reduced pricing applies.
* The place will be spotless upon your arrival. A standard cleaning fee of $125 is charged at booking for up to four hours of cleaning. Additional cleaning fees of $40 per hour will apply to cover extra laundry, linens/towels, recycling, composting, etc.
The additional fee (up to $150) will be deducted from the damage deposit.
Additional cleaning time may result in delayed check-in for the next guests. We kindly request that all guests extend the same courtesies they received to those following them. Thank you for your consideration and understanding.

Summary: What a perfect view that Michael and Ozgur have in their lovely offering to those visiting the Sunshine Coast. Sitting on the patio is truly a gift - Waking up before the sun rises to capture the magic is highly recommended. Incredible hosts, always in touch and truly care about your stay. I would book again with no hesitation.

Summary: The house was as advertised, great view, close to many activities and the ferry. As advertised, the parking is a little tricky, but we got used to it. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Michael was very good at communicating with us. Although the listing states that there is a downstairs resident, that issue deserves a couple of comments. First, the night we arrived she parked blocking both available spaces and claimed that she did not know anyone was staying upstairs. She moved her car but was not happy. Second, and more important, is that she is a heavy-smoker. When she was smoking on the patio downstairs, her smoke came directly up into our area. On at least two occasions, we had to go inside because the smoke was intolerable. If we had not been out and about until late in the evening on many occasions, we would have wanted to spend more time on the patio and would not have been able to do so because of the smoke. You should also be aware that, in addition to cigarettes, she smoked pot, the smell of which drifted up to our patio. If it were not for this neighbor, we would have given the house five stars.

Summary: The sunshine coast is stunning and this property really takes advantage of the views. The hosts are also very responsive. I ran into payment problems using the VRBO app, but Michael Gannon worked with me and VRBO to figure out what was wrong. Once the issue was resolved, my friend and I were able to relax and enjoy our weekend.

Summary: The location is very convenient, close to the ferry. The view is beautiful. However there is only one parking spot, and very hard to find a space to park extra cars. Also I would say it is a 2br because the third one is not a room, it is just a queen bed beside down stairs. Overall it is good , clean and cozy.

Summary: The views from the property are fantastic! The beach is a short walk away. Our kids appreciated the toys and the trampoline in the yard. Everything was very clean, and communication with the hosts was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Our family truly enjoyed the stay. Our host sent us detailed instructions and recommendations on what to do in advance. The house was very well equipped. Hikes, beaches, cafes, breweries, shops are nearby. Definitely, it is a place where our family would happily come back!
