Positive: The location was great, and the room was very clean. The pool was nice, and I appreciated that the house offers coffee, tea, and water.

Negative: I found the room to be a bit too small for two people. I paid extra for a "king" bed, but it didn't feel like one. I don't understand why some hotels have policies where you cannot change your reservation dates, and there is no reimbursement for nights not spent there, especially in the case of emergencies where you need to leave early. However, next time, I would recommend looking for an Airbnb. Casa Serena is similar to that but lacks the flexible options that Airbnb offers, such as the ability to change reservations and receive reimbursements.

Positive: It's a nice place to stay. I enjoyed my stay at Casa Serena. There is a nice communal kitchen. The cleaning lady made coffee every morning when she arrived. There are quite a few nice places to eat nearby. I loved the food here. Never had a bad meal... Used the in-house pool a couple of times too. It's nice after a long hike in the mountains. I did not use the kitchen facilities much, other than coffee and filtered water. I did buy some fruit and store it. There is ample fridge space too. Great value for the money!

Negative: The shower took some time to provide hot water, it's a gas heating system and it does not last long.

Summary: Great place to stay more than a night!

Positive: A very modern and well designed space. Exceptionally comfortable. One of the nicest places we have stayed on our 12 month trip across the Americas.

Negative: Only negative was that they wanted me to pay via bank transfer (this is not explained when booking) and we were unable to do this because I have a British bank account and cannot do an international transfer. We agreed on cash but they wanted to charge me 160,00 and not the 135,000 agreed on booking.com. They were very friendly and did agree on 135 but I think there is a misunderstanding with discounts offered through booking.com that perhaps they aren't aware of. If you don't have a Colombian bank account id suggest taking some cash.
