Positive: An absolute gem of a stay. Behind an unassuming approach opens up a beautiful courtyard, with views of the countryside. Gorgeous historic building, with the most charming hosts and lovingly restored, large and super comfortable bed rooms. The crown jewel was the home cooked dinner served on the terrace - just wonderful!

Everything was wonderful, from the quality of the food and the wine selection at dinner in a dreamy setting, to the amazing breakfast—rich, varied, and abundant—with freshly prepared dishes. The staff is sensational, with attention to detail. Valentina truly pampered us. Thomas was sweet and thoughtful. The chef was exceptional. The rooms are meticulously designed, and it's like stepping back in time with every step you take in the manor. Impeccably clean. The scent of medieval history fills the air. Our room had every comfort, from the minibar to the kettle, from the coffee machine to the high-quality toiletries. The bed was a dream. We were supposed to stay one night, but we stayed two more and will be back soon on our next trip to Italy. It's a place that must be experienced because it truly is an unforgettable experience. Positive: A fantastic getaway into history and beauty. The house is a living legend with its history written into walls as well as interior design. The surroundings - a huge garden with trees and flowers and a little vineyard complete the beauty inside. Everything is kept immaculately clean and rooms are cleaned daily. Our host Valentina and her assistant Tomas were helpful in every matter, however small. The breakfast was as tasty as elegant. Everything was perfect for a memorable stay. Positive: This property is a hidden gem. Quiet location. The room was incredible. Spotlessly clean. What stood out the most to us was the wonderful staff, Valentina and Lorenzo, the owners, Thomas our lovely server, Christina the room attendant and Patricia the amazing chef. We felt very special being their guests. We stayed four nights and ate there every evening. The food was so good. Fresh and delicious and very good value.

Positive: Love for things always bears excellent fruit. A moving experience. Exceptional service, food, and rooms with a different four-course menu every evening. Authentic atmosphere and every comfort. The staff was fantastic and provided us with lots of helpful advice and interesting information about the house's history. Valentina made us feel at home with an extraordinary welcome. An enchanting place where time stands still. At night, the magic descends. We stayed two more days and it was fantastic! We will return, we will experience it again and again. Highly recommended.

And a place we didn't know: Casaforte la Bastide, a fantastic boutique hotel in Ferrara welcomed us like this: with art among cypresses, silence as a companion and the freedom for Penny to feel part of the landscape too... A charming residence where simplicity becomes art, every detail is chosen with love and the olive trees perfume the silence... We walked among the sculptures, listened to the silence, I saw my coke-eater Penny fall asleep in the sun, as well as among the cushions... We spoke with people who know how to welcome with elegance and discretion. In this place everything speaks of harmony: the welcome that has the grace of those who truly love what they offer, the landscape that watches the sunset during dinner with very fresh and truly delicious local products, the nature that grows without borders... A charming refuge for those seeking grace, silence and beauty without ostentation. Maximum care and cleanliness everywhere and a spectacular location.
