Positive: Very clean, walking distance to food/bars and beach. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Negative: Scheduled blackout from 4am to noon but they had solar so only AC was not usable which was ok since it’s not hot in the morning. Lots of shade so the room doesn’t get too hot.

Negative: Unfortunately, the downsides significantly impacted my stay. The huts are extremely dark, which already makes them feel a bit uncomfortable. I stayed in a non-air-conditioned hut with a fan, but the fan was simply not effective enough. Even though I’m used to sleeping with a fan, this one couldn’t keep the space cool at all. It was very hot during the day—so much so that it was impossible to stay inside—and still uncomfortably warm at night, making it difficult to sleep. The biggest issue, however, was the strong smell of cigarette smoke inside the hut. At first, I thought someone might be smoking outside (there was some construction work happening nearby), but the smell persisted throughout the night. It became clear that someone had likely smoked inside the hut before, and the odor had deeply penetrated the walls. It was very unpleasant and made me feel physically unwell. I asked the staff the next morning if I could upgrade to an air-conditioned room (and was willing to pay the difference), especially if it didn’t have the smoke issue. I was told there were no rooms available, which is fair—but the suggested “solution” was simply to keep the fan on, which did nothing to help with the smell. In the end, I decided to book another accommodation and paid for an extra night elsewhere, as staying there was not an option for me. The staff member I spoke with was polite but not particularly welcoming, and there was no attempt to offer any alternative solution, compensation, or effort to retain me as a guest.

Positive: cute place near the beach. lots of bars and restaurants directly on the beach. nice to walk at night around. liked the beach vibe in Port Barton. not to busy. get a bike and explore the area! or book a boat trip and go to the next beaches. the bungalow is simple but very clean. big enough to hang clothes up. the have free coffee all day. and they have fresh baked bread stuff ever morning. very yummi!!! the bungalow had a nice cold shower and a Fan. I felt the fan was enough during the night. no Wifi and the dogs and chicken sound like everywhere in the Philippines ;!

Negative: it's a bit dark in the room, b/c the bungalows are so close to each other. also the balconies are very close. not a lot privacy
