Summary: Hotel: we had a lovely (superior) room but the surrounding areas of the property could be better maintained. Not really value for money. Do check your bill on departure too. Restaurant: unfortunately this was a disaster. We had to wait ages for a drink and menu, then, having finally ordered, the courses took forever to be served. The majority of the diners at the restaurant had the same issue and we spent a total of 3 hours over dinner. Most diners appeared to choose the €59 set menu. The food was good but there were only 3 staff for about 25 tables. Had we been served our drinks early on we would have been happier. I can’t recommend this hotel or restaurant.

Summary: We've stayed in the standard room, I wouldn’t recommend it for a couple. The area of the rooms doesn’t smell good, room was too small so we couldn’t move after opening the bags.

Summary: Great location, very calm and green, the property itself is beautiful, staff was very helpful and friendly, restaurant is top notch, the building itself is amazing, unfortunately there is a serious lack of maintenance which is visible every where, the rooms in the tower were very basic, we were upgraded to a suite in the main building which was very nice but still the hotel needs a lot of work all around. Also the pictures online make the hotel look more luxurious than it really is. In my opinion the hotel is a 3 star and not a 4 star. I truly hope the owners will work to improve the property as it could really be amazing.

Summary: This property is gated, so make sure you get code to get into and out of the property. We left in evening to eat and were not given the access code only to find we were locked out of the property .

Summary: Beautiful hotel and grounds in a picturesque village. The old mill is charming and the waterfall is wonderful! Our basic room was remodeled and clean... a little boring for our taste considering the historic nature of the building. It looks like some of the pricier rooms in the main building would have more character... one even has a balcony adjacent to the waterfall. The staff was great and accommodated us for a delicious dinner even though they were completely full.
