Summary: When we arrived something was wrong with the order from hotels.com, but the nice receptionist made sure to do everything she could to help us. After calling to the boss and hotels, we ended up with an upgraded room for no additional cost. Brilliant. Would absolutely recommend. Lovely place, with modern beautiful bathroom, great bed and also free parkering.

Summary: Castle view bungalows are chalet type buildings at the foot of the hill leading up to the castle. There is a decent sized pool on site and breakfast comes in the form of a pre-prepared box for two. The drive up to the Castle is short and must be done. The admission of 12 Euros is well worth the money, the views and the frescoes in the three churches are amazing. A word of warning, the footpaths are uneven and the climb is strenuous. The nearby village of Mystras is charming and has several tavernas and a cople of shops.

Summary: Sunday morning the bells toll and the masses are heard throughout. Also Mystras is very close. Skip the castle if you hate heights. Otherwise Mystras historical site is rich and should not be missed. Eat at Xenia.
