Catalina Bay Resort is a four season resort getaway. We have a safe and sandy beach, restaurant, gas, launching and docking facilities, country store, and worms available on site, as well as acres of tranquil trails for your enjoyment. The Buckhorn area is also famous for its arts and crafts shows.
Famous for its great fishing, species include Pickerel [Walleye], Large and Smallmouth Bass, Muskie, Perch and for our European guests some of the best Carp fishing anywhere in the Kawarthas.
Open Year Round we have Spring and Fall getaway packages as well as Winter packages available, we are located on some of the best ski trails in the area.

Unlike many vacation spots, we make winter a time for celebration. New fallen snow gives the area a freshness and peace that the city will never know.
All through the district, you'll find well groomed trails for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and hiking.
This area is blessed with breathtaking scenery that comes alive in the winter. On a pleasant afternoons ride you can really appreciate the beauty of nature, whether it's snowladen evergreens, or a moose off in a clearing.

Summary: We were in the area to visit family and came across this spot. It was great for spending family time, fishing, bon fires and disconnecting from the city. Management was accommodating, friendly and easy to get in touch with. A great spot for people with or without kids, we will definitely be returning.

Summary: Rental was ready when we arrived. Weren't aware that we were to bring own towels, toilet paper, etc but easily remedied. I could easily spend a couple of weeks here.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time here. Liz and Louie were extremely helpful and easy going. The resort is well maintained and very family friendly. The cabin has all the basic needs to have a great time. We have never been to the Kawarthas but we will definitely be back.

Summary: Lovely hosts and great view. Linens we’re clean, could have used more of a cleaning in kitchen and bathroom but hey it is a cabin so really no complaints. Liz and Louie are wonderful people.
