Indoors you will discover cathedral ceilings, multiple fireplaces, and several areas for your group to come together. A unique find is the the detached cottage in the back that includes bunk beds, pool table, and arcade game.

Detached Kid's Kabin:
Two Twin over Full Bunk Beds with additional Twin Trundles underneath.
IMPORTANT: Kid's Kabin DOES NOT have a bathroom. You must walk outside to the main house for a restroom.
Total Beds In the Home: 1 King, 4 Queen, 2 Full, 4 Twin.
Outdoors:
Hot Tub
Multiple decks to enjoy the outdoors on hammock swings or lounge chairs.
Dock access during all seasons except winter. (the lake freezes over)

Guest Access:
You will have access to the main house, Kid's Kabin, and outdoor areas including the dock. The driveway is paved and very large. Guests should not enter or park in the barn on the adjoining property.

The Neighborhood:
Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.
Getting Around:
I recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well.
Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.
Things To Know:
You will be required to sign a rental agreement after the booking is confirmed. Full terms of the agreement are available on request. Additionally, you will be required to upload an approved government identification card or passport when you complete the rental agreement. If you have questions about either of these requirements please message us prior to booking.
Rentals of the property requires a $500 security deposit via credit card, or to pay a $70 fee to waive the security deposit.
No more than 6 cars allowed.
While covered above, please note again that the Kid's Kabin does NOT have a bathroom or have central AC. You must walk back to the main house for a restroom.
The dock is not available from early November until the lake has thawed and levels stabilize in late spring.
This home is pet free, no exceptions.

Summary: Perfect location for our group who hadn’t seen each other in over a decade. Stayed at the house all weekend, cooking meals, sitting outside by the lake, and evenings by the fire pit. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment which was great for our group. Property management was very responsive to questions and made check in/out a breeze.

Summary: We enjoyed the cool NY summer temps, yet still warm enough to enjoy water sports. Layout of house is great! We fixed a lot of meals in. The Swinging Bridge Marina has a low key restaurant with excellent lobster rolls and is a five minute drive. Otherwise, you are a 15 minute drive to other places. This is not a tourist community. Don’t expect to find lots of extras in the community to entertain kids. Plan to be a the house, enjoy the water, and be unplugged.

Summary: I did puzzle over the focus of the rooms with fireplaces. Hanging hooks around Jacuzzi would be helpful for clothes and towels. Instructions on operation of the TV would be less aggravating. Overall, loved our stay! Won't be disappointed!

Summary: Everything you need for a lake house stay ! House was full equipped with everything you need. 2 washers and dryers ! Huge plus when traveling with a big group ! Plenty of towels ! Very comfortable rooms ! And the most amazing view ! Will definitely be going again !

Summary: Spent a few days with friends and family here...a much-needed weekday getaway for us. The house was very clean and comfortable, with all the expected amenities at our disposal as soon as we checked in. The location is incredibly quiet and private with just a few neighbors and the occasional boat passing by on the lake. We really enjoyed the lake as well as the hot tub and the large decks with lots of seating...very picturesque! The downstairs is especially well decorated and tasteful...a perfect place to chill and relax that feels just like home. Truly a wonderful experience all around and we will definitely return!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had 4 boys, 2 girls, and 5 adults ranging in age for 45 to 79 and everyone had a good time! Between the house and the lake and the rented boat our time together was fun and varied. I would recommend this home to all!

Summary: We rented this property for a girls weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday. The house was beautifully clean and spacious. There were plenty of beds to accommodate our group. We enjoyed the hot tub and soaking in the beautiful views. 11/10 would rent again!
