1 Bedroom Cottage in Dubbo

A fully self-contained one bedroom apartment in central Dubbo, perfect for couples or individuals visiting Dubbo.
A backyard cottage and garden, it is located between Elston Park and Victoria Park, two beautiful leafy locations in the centre of town.
Within walking distance to great cafes and restaurants, our regional gallery, the Western Plains Cultural Centre and the Dubbo Regional Theatre & Convention Centre.
It’s also just a short 10 minute drive to the Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
The space
The cottage is a relaxing renovated space in the backyard of my circa 1911 house in central Dubbo.
As I love to travel I have decorated the cottage with my photographs from Morocco and Paris, as well as movie posters I bought in Havana, Cuba.
It is comfortable all year round and is double glazed to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. If needed there are reverse cycle air-conditioners in the bedroom and living areas and under-floor heating and a warming towel rack in the bathroom.
There is an under-sink water filter so you can fill up a water bottle as you head off to the zoo for the day!
If you need to do washing there is a laundry with washer and drier, together with an iron and small ironing board. Washing liquid and fabric softener is there for you to use. There’s a clothes drying rack that can be used on the deck if required.
There is also a dedicated office space within the apartment (complete with an Eames replica office chair)

You will have the entire cottage to yourself and it is particularly suited to couples or singles.

Summary: A 3 night stay at this property in Dubbo was just right. The cottage is located in a lovely garden well away from the main house. It’s very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and the host, Jude, left quality essential pantry items for anyone arriving without provisions. Dubbo CBD is a short walk away And there’s a bus to take you to the zoo if you don’t have a car. The railway ststion is also just a short walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dubbo including relaxing in Jude’s garden.

Summary: A beautifully set up and furnished little gem, close to central Dubbo. An easy walk to shops, restaurants and cultural activities. The apartment has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Jude, your host, is very approachable, easy to talk to, without being intrusive. Summary: We had a lovely stay at Jude's. The apartment is beautifully finished and very private. The kitchen has everything you need and more, the bathroom is huge and luxurious. The living room looks out onto the beautiful gardens and is a very cosy space. It is close to the cultural centre and aan easy walk to the theatre through a memorial park. Hope to be back! Thanks Jude, and thanks for those little extras which made us feel very welcome.
