THE APARTMENT - Our apartment is spacious and suitable for two couples (2 bathrooms). It is ideally located to visit the city on foot and for a full immersion in the most authentic Roman atmosphere.
It is located in the historical center, on the first floor of a building close to Piazza Testaccio. The street is not very busy and very quiet.
The apartment consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a second bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower and 2 single beds that can be combined, a second bathroom with shower, a small living room with single sofa bed and a well-equipped kitchen with a table for 4/5 people
Supermarkets, shops and several typically Roman restaurants nearby.
THE DISTRICT - Testaccio is certainly the most authentic neighborhood of the historic center of Rome. It is frequented, young people, families and artists. In Testaccio you will find many clubs, the best Roman trattorias, the most famous and colorful local market in Rome (it is 4-6 minutes walk from our apartment) and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome (5 minutes walk).
THE REST OF THE HISTORICAL CENTER - You can reach by foot all the other famous places of Rome. You will reach Trastevere neighborhood in less than 10 minutes on foot. The Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla and the Colosseum are 10 or 15 minute away.
‘Piramide’ subway station is about 7 minute away by foot. The Circus Maximus and the Baths of Caracalla are just one stop away (2 minutes), the Colosseum two stops away (4 minutes). Continuing with the subway you will quickly reach the Termini Station, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, the Vatican City.
An urban train leave ‘Piramide’ station to get to the famous archaeological site of ‘Ostia Antica’ and for the beaches of Ostia.

Summary: This apartment is extremely well located, easily within walking distance of central Rome, via a lovely walk along the River Tiber. The property is in a safe and quiet building, located near shops and restaurants. A lovely feature of the area is the central square, where families gather and sit enjoying the sunshine and watch life go by. The property is very clean and well equipped. Marco our host even provided fresh milk and orange juice, along with staples like tea and coffee etc. Marco was wonderful, so kind and welcoming, his knowledge of Rome was excellent and helped us plan family friendly trips to unmissable historical sites. We can not thank Marco enough for making our stay such a pleasure. We would highly recommend this apartment and would love to stay again.

Summary: First the location : Testaccio is a popular district, very quite, safe, and very nice. That was so good to feel the quiet or the piazza after a big day of visit. Families and kids were meeting there every afternoon in a real Roman atmosphere, far from touristic attraction. Around this piazza you will find everything you need, a good trattoria (Da Bucatino) a good pizzeria (Da Remo) and also one of the best restaurant in Roma (Felice, need a reservation). You will also find everything you need, grocery, little supermarket, natural fruits and vegetables, bakery, butchery, wine shop... The location is close from buses and tramway that will bring you everywhere in Roma (Central, Vatican, Trastevere,...) in 10-15 minutes. The place looks like in description, well furnished, and you will find all the basic you need for your arrival (soap, salt, oil, etc...). Marco bought juices and cakes for our kids. Marco was so kind with us. He took a hour of his time to show us on a big map on the wall the best tips for a good visit of Roma. His tips were wise every time, from the view from Giardino degli Aranci to the foro of Caesar, a night show about the construction of Roma. So we sincerely recommend this rental, due to its location, to its well furnished appartment, but must of all due to the kindness of the owner. Now we find our spot in Roma for our next journey. Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. Marco was an excellent host, taking time for explanation, even meeting us at the train station. The apartment is in a great location, and is outfitted wonderfully.

Summary: We recently stayed here for 4 nights and I’d have to say it was perfect. Beatrice and Marco were so helpful before we arrived and once we were there. When he checked us in, they were so great as to walk us through how everything works and going through a map of where all the attractions were located. The Metro and Bus station are close so accessing the city was super easy. The apartment was very roomy and very clean. We would definitely stay again!
