Positive: Perfectly located among several ski resorts. The home was extremely cozy, charming and had everything we needed to relax in the mountains. Positive: I literally felt like I was walking into a Hallmark movie. All the details, the smell, the flowers, the views and the little village were just incredible. It was an only a short walk up to the hill for some amazing views and some old castle ruins. My kids were in heaven and so were my husband and I. I will recommend this place to all my friends and family. ❤️

Positive: It is simply beautiful. All of the fixtures and fittings are so well choosen and put together. You walk in to a perfectly put together alpine lodge with lovely views. The welcome from the family Viviane was so nice, The location is peaceful, aloft a mountain with wonderful places to sit and look at the view. The bedrooms were large, beds really cosy with great bedding. The bathrooms were stunning and products provided 5 star. I would def want to stay again and for longer. Great they welcome dogs and a hugely welcome welcome basket full of great produce and coffee.

Negative: There were only one or two very small things that would have made it perfect:: Whist I booked the chalet as described, a four bedroom chalet, because we were 3 guests, one bedroom was locked off. Although this may make sense to owners and be practical in terms of cleaning, it's not great. If I rent a 5 seater car, just for 1, the company wouldn't remove 4 seats. If you hire an entire place, one should have access to all of that. Secondly, if owners block rooms off that guests have paid for, they change the T&Cs of the rental and miss a marketing opportunity as seeing the whole place the person may think, ok' for the next booking with 4 friends I can book here. Whilst I understand some owners don't like to put in TVs, as an owner I have tvs in every room, there should always be a bluetooth speaker, even a small one so one can cook, eat or sit and look at the view listening to one's favorite music. I would find a way to put in a full sized oven. I tried to entertain friends and cook a full meal that turned out to be quite hard in the small desk top oven. These are easySimply fixes and again the chalet is stunning.

Positive: We all aim for, at some point in our busy lives, that truly magical holiday location in the mountains, where we are truly able to recharge ourselves. As I write this, I’m sitting on the balcony of chalet 1175, in the mountain hamlet of Grand Haury, deep within the Aosta valley, nestled between the sublime mass of Mont Blanc and the town of Aosta itself, some 17km away. The chalet, with its stone built walls, strong oak beams and carved woodwork, harks back to history and fits perfectly into this tiny village, evoking a time long ago, without phones, tv and the internet, and when the village was a quiet haven for its inhabitants. The vista from the typical and quite beautiful balcony, looks over the tree lined slopes and the upwards to the white, snow-capped mountains that stand sentinel over the villages, and immediately hits you in its majesty. Yes, the views from our chalet are all that is needed for perfect relaxation and reflection. This beautiful chalet, situated in such a quintessential mountain hamlet, is an amazing and magical place - an experience of the real Italy and of this historic Alpine region. The chalet immediately captures you and draws you in to it. It defines what a holiday chalet should be - because you immediately feel at home within its stone walls, and beneath the typical alpine timbers. The finishing of the chalet is of the highest quality, with the most comfortable beds imaginable, and bathrooms for each bedroom, that would fit into any 4 star hotel. On arrival, there was milk, butter, a selection of finest olive oils, boundless fruit, biscuits, bread etc, and the reassurance that everywhere you looked in the cabin, or outside on the balcony or the garden, everything was finished off to the highest possible standard, whilst retaining the aesthetic charm of a genuine Italian mountain chalet - just a quite superb one, that stands out in every way.

Positive: We have no words. The chalet is amazing, newly restored exactly as you can expect from a chalet in the Alps, absolutely beautiful and romantic. In addition you can find everything you need to cook, to wash your clothes or to play board games. The beds are amazing. But what makes an unforgettable experience is the lovely family of owners. They are so humble and simple, as the only people from mountains can be. They will do everything to make your stay unique. We will come back for sure. Thanks again for everything!
