Positive: The views are breathtaking! Totally worth all the stairs to get there. The kitchen was fully stocked and we cooked many meals there.
Negative: Careful with your head, the ceiling in the bedrooms is low and takes a few bumps to the head to get used to. There are also a lot of stairs to climb in order to get to the cabin, but if the weather is nice there’s a pathway that is better to walk through with suitcases. Also there’s no light outdoors except in the Main Street, so make sure not to arrive after sunset on your first day :)

Positive: The apartment is modern and tidy with a comfortable bathroom. The kitchen is comfortable with modern facilities. Great mountain view from every direction of the apartment.
Negative: The apartment is located in the attic and you can only stand in the central space. The bedrooms are small and the ceiling is very low. The apartment is 3 km from the center of Grindelwald and the bus service stops at 18:45 which is a very important factor for those traveling without a car. In any case, you have to climb steep steps on the hill from the road to get to the apartment. The hostess has no minimum service awareness. When we arrived on the first day of our stay at the apartment after the bus service stopped and we informed the owner of the apartment that there was no bus or taxi to reach the apartment and we asked for her help, she suggested that we hitch a ride. We had to walk 3 km uphill with our luggage to get to the apartment. When we asked the owner of the apartment to change towels that were hard and unpleasant, she did not respond to our request and only after another request two days later did the owner agree to change the towels for us.

Positive: Beautiful apartment with amazing views. Slightly away from the main hustle and bustle which was lovely as it meant it was nice and quiet. Great facilities with everything you need. Also a very responsive owner if you have any questions.
Negative: Just a small word of warning for anyone who may struggle with mobility. It’s quite a steep walk to the apartment. We didn’t have a problem but it’s a challenge and you’ll need to be prepared re getting luggage to the apartment.

Positive: Beautiful luxurious 2nd floor apartment in the hills of Switzerland. Gorgeous outdoor view from the balcony and house fitted with several windows. Owner provided discount card that includes free bus transport from Grindelwald to nearby stop. Bathroom is well-maintained with rainhead shower. Full kitchen (includes dishwasher) with dining room. Owner was kind and very well-organized.
Negative: FYI, the bus stop is about a 5min uphill walk from house (if you didn’t bring car) and there are 3-4 flights of stairs to house. Not a problem for us but could be an issue if you have mobility issues. The bedrooms have sloped ceilings so cannot stand upright; again not problem for us but might be issue if person has back problems.
Summary: Beautiful upper-level apartment with all the amenities; gorgeous outdoor view from the balcony & windows.

Positive: Great location with fantastic views of theEiger and Jungfrau area.
Negative: The trek to the chalet uphill was not expected and a challenge at the end of our day (especially with luggage). While the chalet was spotless with all amenities you could wish for, being 6 ft tall was a challenge and some of us came away with sore backs due to having to stoop in the low roofed bedrooms.
