This modern, single-storey chalet is located in resort De Koog, which opened in 2021; it's located at 3.8 km from the pleasant seaside resort of the same name and only 3.5 km from the beach (cycling distance). The chalet is furnished in a comfortable and complete way. You'll find a bright living room with TV and an open plan kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, each with two 1-pers. box-spring beds, whether or not in a 2-pers. setup. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. For extra comfort, the chalet features air conditioning. Outside, there is an unfenced garden with terrace and garden furniture. It is a car-free park and the luggage can be brought to the chalet by means of a luggage cart. Resort De Koog is a holiday park under construction. It's possible that there will be construction work during your stay. Everything will be done to minimize possible disturbance.

Summary: keurig net huisje, van alle gemakken voorzien. vriendelijke mensen op het terrein, vragen werden goed opgelost. Wij misten alleen een plekje om beschut in de zon te kunnen zitten, omdat we veel wind rondom hadden. Maar dat heb je gauw op Texel

Summary: Net terug van een midweek Resort de Koog. Een nu nog relatief klein park met nagenoeg nieuwe luxe chalets. Qua grootte en indeling lijken de chalets op het eerste gezicht op een stacaravan maar daarmee doe je deze luxe huisjes tekort. Het afwerkingsniveau binnen is erg hoog met o.a. een vaatwasser, combi-oven, goede WiFi, mooie zithoek en prima eethoek. De huisjes zijn allen voorzien van een terras. De aankleding hiervan is in tegenstelling tot binnen wat karig. Het park is net aangepland waardoor er nog weinig privacy is op je terras. Het park is autovrij, op zich prima maar het bij het huisje krijgen van alle spullen is daardoor een kleine uitdaging. Er zijn bolderkarren beschikbaar maar die rijden vrij zwaar over het net aangelegde schelpenpad. Voor een meivakantie vonden wij het erg rustig op het park. Wellicht komt dat doordat het park feitelijk nog in (her) ontwikkeling is. Het deel aan de andere kant van de weg wordt op dit moment gesaneerd en daarna ongetwijfeld ook van luxe chalets voorzien. Daarmee mist het kleine park op dit moment nog sfeer. Het park ligt vrij centraal op het eiland aan een vrij drukke weg waarvan je het geluid helaas wel hoort. Het is ongeveer 3 kilometer naar het strand of De Koog, net te ver om te lopen eigenlijk dus fietsen meenemen (of ter plekke huren) is een aanrader. Samengevat een mooi kleinschalig park in ontwikkeling met luxe huisjes voor mensen die rust zoeken. Voor gezinnen met (jonge) kinderen is het naar onze mening minder geschikt.

Summary: Een fijn verblijf met alles erop en eraan. Het verblijf was heel schoon wat enorm prettig aanvoelt. Bedden liggen wat stevig, maar dat was een kwestie van wennen. Een hor voor de schuifpui, zodat je die open kunt laten, zou heel prettig zijn. De aanwezige airco is geen overbodige luxe, want al was de zon er nog niet volop, warm/benauwd was het verblijf wel.

Summary: EuroParcs De Koog is een klein autovrij chaletpark met ruim 30 chalets. Het ligt midden op Texel direct langs de Postweg met wat struikachtig gewas tussen weg en de helft van het aantal aanwezige chalets. Gelukkig was de weg afgesloten wegens wegwerkzaamheden (april 2022) waardoor er veel minder verkeer reed. Dit kwam de rust ten goede. De chalets zijn splinternieuwe chalets van de bouwer Arcabo uit Nieuwleusen, type Green Bay met mooie ramen op de hoek. De kunststof schuifpui functioneerde erg stroef en ging moeilijk op slot. De deuren van badkamer en hoofdslaapkamer draaien tegen elkaar bij het openen. Dit is erg onhandig, vooral omdat de voordeuropening zich achter deze slaapkamerdeur bevindt. Arcabo, dit kan beter door de badkamerdeur links te laten draaien in plaats van rechts, en iets met de deuren te schuiven. Aan de inrichting en decoratie (ook buiten) is duidelijk aandacht besteed. Helaas was de spiegelverlichting in de badkamer koudwit, wat vooral ‘s nachts als je de hoofdverlichting plus ventilator niet wilt inschakelen wel erg indringend over kwam. Ventilatie op een aparte (tijd)schakelaar zou een optie zijn. De duurzaamheid is redelijk. Er is wel afvalscheiding op de parkeerplaats maar een tweede afvalbak voor plastic ontbreekt in het huisje. Onduidelijk is waar metaalafval (blik, blikjes) en drankkartons gedeponeerd moeten worden. Moet dit bij het plastic (PMD)? Er zijn helaas geen zonnepanelen om energie op te wekken op het zonnige Texel dat de ambitie heeft om in zijn eigen energie te gaan voorzien. De verwarming bestaat uit airco die ook kan verwarmen en 5 IR-plafondplaten. Er was een kleine speelgelegenheid in het duinzand voor de kleinsten. In bolderkarren voor bagagevervoer van de parkeerplaats naar de chalets (gemiddeld 100 meter) is voorzien, handig! De ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk. Al met al een 4/5-score.
