Situated 35 minutes north of Auckland central yet in the country - you will feel you’ve escaped! A very short distance from SH1. We offer a private property with renovated Chalet featuring your own outside deck to enjoy the native trees and birdlife. You can soak in our spa pool/hot tub/jacuzzi year round (your use only) and a salt-water pool available during the summer.
There is a super-king bed with a fold out futon bed for one other in the lounge.
Additionally, your own facilities include a modern bathroom – shower, toilet, heated towel rail, hairdryer, a washing machine, kitchenette with hobs and microwave (tea, coffee and milk supplied) and a lounge with sofa and TV.
We provide a continental style breakfast for your first morning.
High speed Wireless internet available.
Check in 2pm and check out 11am.
The Puhoi village is walking distance and full of treasures for you to explore including the Puhoi Pub - the oldest pub in New Zealand, the General Store, Puhoi Cottage tearooms with delicious fare, the smallest library in NZ and the only Bohemian Museum with lots of local history.
If the tide is right you can kayak on the Puhoi River. Hiking trails and walkways are also nearby.

No smoking/vaping in the Chalet or on the property.
Our property is not suitable for children under 12 years of age (babies are ok) or any pets.

Summary: I had the best 2 nights here - the chalet was clean and well stocked, down to the extra pillows, blanket, hairdryer and complimentary breakfast. The hot tub was delightful and just what I needed to fully unwind from the hustle and bustle of Auckland. This experience was such a breeze and I was undisturbed throughout my whole stay - I would highly recommend this place and will most definitely be back in winter to try the hot tub!!

Summary: Lovely quiet cottage with an excellent spa. We found the stairs to the upstairs bedroom were a bit tricky. Breakfast included home made marmalade, delicious.

Summary: This was the first property we stayed at in NZ. A beautiful little cottage on a high hill overlooking Puhoi. Cozy and comfortable cottage. Great property with a small deck off the bedroom. Sat out and was greeted by a parrot and other beautiful birds. Nice pool and hot tub too. Peter was a great host aided by his Burmese cat Sam Very much enjoyed the local pub (great food and local beer). Highly recommend this property
