Positive: Good Location with proximity (15-20 walk) to wonderful beach/ waterfront areas on the peninsula. Less than 30min drive to Motala with all the shopping plus train station and nice waterfront plus the locks. Good size living room with plenty of windows, plus nice little patio outside with various lawn chairs provided. No views but nice neighborhood and nice little lawn/ garden area. The 3 typical little bedrooms plus bathroom and washing machine in an outside door were fine.
Negative: Some important electrical equipment is very old and dangerous to operate. Fire hazard! Stove tops badly rusted, dishwasher nor functioning properly, even giving shocks when attempting to use it. The house could not be secured properly because all of the windows (bedrooms & bathroom) were very hard or pretty much impossible to lock because they stuck/were very tight. Several steps up to the patio in bad shape. Cloth drying rack old & rusty (kept outside in the weather). Cleanliness was ok on the surface but upon closer look many areas needed better cleaning, especially the mattress covers plus bathroom and other shelves and around couches. Kettle had brown/blackened areas. We found out that it started on its own but was quickly replaced by owner when contacted about it. Owner was very surprised to hear that we had other complaints (see above) because "nobody had ever complained about any of these issues before"). We contacted the rental agency "Interhome" about the issues within the requested (fine print of the contract) 48 hours.
Summary: Nice location but needs maintenance/investment.

Positive: Quiet location of a simple but comfortable 3 bedroom house. Some great hiking trails around the peninsula, where there was lots of opportunity for berry picking (blueberries& lingonberries in early- mid August). Not far (20min walking distance) from 2 very nice beach areas, one in each direction. Covered veranda with table and chairs as well as lawn chairs for those rare moments (for us) of warm and sunny weather.
Negative: Windows (old style) were hard to open/ close/lock, which might have had to do with the very rainy weather we had. Some of the blinds in the living room were not working properly.
Summary: Comfortable little country home on quiet country road not far from the water
