Summary: This chalet was a perfect basecamp for traveling the Interlaken region. It is within a 20-minute walk of a major train station and the bus is one minute from the front door. My husband and I adored the small village where it is located. It was amazing to stay in a small and quiet location and easily get to the busier city of Interlaken. The chalet was clean, well organized, and the kitchen was very helpful to have. Communication is easy and efficient with the host. I highly recommend staying here.

Summary: My husband and I love this quiet cottage feel home. It was convenient to get to Interlaken with the bus. We had a great stay and would love to go back if we ever get the opportunity again.

Summary: Our family of 3 had a great time in Gsteigwiler, a small rural village that is truly within walking, biking, or a short drive, distance from many tourist attractions in the Bernese Oberlands (too many to mention, but we particularly loved the hike from Lauterbrunner to Stechelberg, a path with many waterfalls as well as wonderful views). The modern chalet looks brand-new, is well-furnished, spotlessly clean, and has all the amenities one would hope for - then owners topped that with some nice personal touches. Our only ‘gripe’ is that the images of meadows and cows etc are not what one sees when coming out/looking through the windows of the chalet - as it is right in the center of the village, it’s closely surrounded by barns, houses etc. Communication with owners was very easy and effective, and the bus passes provided were also quite helpful for our sightseeing trips. Great experience!
