Positive: It was such an amazing stay in the middle of the nature with an exceptional view from the pool into the forest. The chalets were really nice, well-equipped, clean and big with a nice view. Didier from the restaurant was really friendly & made our stay really comfortable. The hosts are also mingling with the guests who are really warmly and kind. Also the rest of the staff was friendly.

Positive: The location was lovely although not easy to find at first. Chamarel Mountain chalets are set off the beaten track and you have to navigate a narrow unmade road to get to it. Once there we found ourselves in a peaceful, beautifully landscaped, tropical paradise. The infinity pool was a real highlight and the views from the pool area, the restaurant and the chalets were fabulous.
Negative: A tropical paradise comes with tropical wildlife, be prepared for mosquitoes. The chalets are spread out on a hillside and there is quite a bit of walking from where you leave your car to the chalets and from the chalets to the restaurant/pool area. That wasn't too much of a problem for us but might be for older or less mobile people.
Summary: A tropical experience which provided an interesting contrast to the coast.

Positive: We loved the setting it was exactly what we’d imagined a boutique hotel in the mountains would be like - at one with the surroundings!
Negative: The bar was not open during the day so best to take some supermarket supplies.
Summary: Lovely getaway in the mountains. A great base to explore the national parks from.

Positive: Very nice Chalet with beautiful view. The stuff and the owners are really friendly and helpful. The food is good. We didn’t have a car and it was quite a walk but we made it by foot to the 7th coloured earth. Important to know: there is no ATM and the hotel does not exchange money
Negative: It would be great if there would be an option to buy drinks and snacks at the reception when the bar is closed. There is no supermarket near by so this would be a good option.
