Negative: Some building going on next door which we didn’t know about beforehand, which was noisy during the day. Seems to be a number of cottages in the estate being upgraded.

Negative: When I booked I thought I was booking the newer chalet, only to find out when I checked in, it was the older rustic chalet. This was a great disappointment as the pictures on the booking showed pics of the new chalet. This was queried with the host who at first was defensive but upon her own review on booking.com she noticed that booking.com had not separated the chalets for booking hence it automatically booked either one. The host immediately rectified with booking.com and I noticed now, it is resolved 👏👏 The older chalet did not have a hairdryer and the host was extremely kind to arrange one for me, thank you Diane 👏 The facilities in the older chalet are old, including the appliances, the cutlery, pots and dishes are outdated and in desperate need of change. We had an older couple with us so the bottom rooms only had a bath tub with shower above, this was difficult for them to get in and out. The upper baths were spacious but steep stairs to get to the top floor. We eventually settled in but the experience of not having stayed in the newer chalet (our expectation) put a damper on the stay but just being around nature and beautiful surroundings made the stay alot better. The receptionist did advise that the older chalet will be revamped soon, that will be great! Will definitely return, only this time to stay in the newer chalet. Diane is a great host and she answers immediately to any queries you may have! Although the booking issue is resolved, just confirm with her when you book the new holiday home.
