Summary: Was a little dated. Sauna didnt work, other hot room in spa was cold, no cooling in room when 30 degrees, would benefit from bar/deink service near pool

Summary: Staff were excellent but overall stay was average. Rooms very dated & hotel could do with a make over ! Lots of water stains on the ceilings & everything could do with decorating. Some outside furniture was very ropey & needs replacing. The hotel grounds were amazing & very peaceful. Personally was really looking forward to staying at Champneys but definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

Summary: Wonderful spa. Staff super friendly and helpful. Food delicious. The lake was stunning and enjoyed seeing all the goslings.

Summary: Not very well sign posted from the start ( parked the car no sign to say entrance as your around the back ) also inside the spa there no signs to say for example what sauna done what or mixed steam room this way nothing. The restaurant wasn’t sign posted we arrived and then was told there was another restaurant up the hallway. It’s a bit of figure it out yourself. Rooms was very basic considering this place is ment to be a luxury spa. Room was quite cold and there no heating or air con in rooms . But on the other hand it’s very chilled and relaxing. The staff at reception can’t remember the man’s name was so friendly and also the lady who served us our food . The food was 10/10 overall it’s worth the price we paid £250 for an over night stay dinner and breakfast and use of spa for 2 of us

Summary: I had a very unsatisfactory stay at this hotel and feel compelled to share my experience. The nightly rate is quite high, and to my surprise, they charge extra to use the spa facilities after 10 AM, which feels unreasonable. Additionally, check-in is late at 5 PM, making it challenging to make the most of your stay. Breakfast was another letdown; while they provide fruit, if you're hoping for something warm, be prepared to pay extra for it. The overall atmosphere was further soured by the rude staff when I was not happy about paying extra for the spa. To top it all off, the restaurant was disappointing as well, failing to meet even basic expectations. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Summary: I was worried after reading some of the recent reviews, but we had a great time and wish we had 2 nights there. The setting is gorgeous on the lovely lake, loved the food at dinner, it was really tasty & healthy , we had a really spacious room. The decor is old fashioned and the bathroom needs updating but most old English hotels are. Breakfast was terrible & very slow but we enjoyed everything else. The spa is lovely but was very busy until after 5. in the evening There was a brilliant pianist playing in the lounge area which was nice.

Summary: The hotel is lovely, the spa is nice but some of the saunas were not very hot, and some oats were not working at all. It’s not a huge spa but was perfect after a day exploring. Wouldn’t necessarily spend all her day here but a couple evenings in the evening was great!

Summary: Fantadtic hotel, stunning but the Spa jacuzzi temperatures are worst i have ever been to, luke warm, guests were saying it put them off coming again, we got quite cold which isnt good and needed a hot bath to warm up when back in the room, apart from that fantastic, such a shame as really loved it there
