Situated in the heart of a village 25 km from Carcassonne, this characteristic holiday home with a large private swimming pool measuring 14m by 4m is the perfect destination for friends and family. Relax in a tranquil setting surrounded by serenity and calm. Around the village of Saint Denis, nestling in Cathar country on the southern slopes of the Montagne Noire, there's plenty to discover: hiking and cycling with its many lakes and rivers, the Cabardès vineyards, Cathar castles, traditional markets (Revel, Carcassonne), caves (Limousis, Cabrespine). Go canyoning in the Montagne Noire, take a guided tour of the city and castle of Carcassonne, visit an essential oil distillery in Castelnaudary (22 km), take a break at the Étangs de Saïx leisure centre (25 km), go rafting on the River Aude at Alet-les-Bains (40 km). Nearby, you'll find a number of restaurants serving local cuisine, including, of course, ‘Le Cassoulet’. The St Ferreol lake 25 km near Revel has a garden with waterfall and water jet at the bottom of the dike and lots of restaurants and bars around and 5 km from Revel is the market. This lake is very popular here. Then there are 2 very typical villages in Saissac 6km away with the ruins of a medieval castle and Montolieu, also 6km away with its narrow streets and its numerous bookstores which make it called the book village. After a refreshing dip in the pool, you can relax in the sun on the sun loungers. A normal barbecue area (fire to be made with charcoal) is available for grilling. A soak in the bath will be much needed after a day of excursions. The bedrooms are comfortable and one has a TV for watching your favourite TV programmes. Your cars are safe in the garage.

Summary: I had such a great time here! The house is spacious and has everything you need, The pool was a highlight, especially after a long day of exploring the nearby castles, Would definitely come back with friends

Summary: Mooi proper en verzorgd huis van alle comfort voorzien. Je komt binnen langs de deur en je moet meteen een tiental trappen naar boven. Op de eerste verdieping ligt dan de ruime woonkamer, slaapkamer, wc, ruime dressing en ga je door naar de keuken. De keuken is van alle comfort voorzien en geeft uit op een ruim terras. De trap naar de tweede verdieping is niet beveiligd, dus met kleine kinderen of personen die zich niet zo zelfzeker voelen, zeker opletten! Het zwembad is ruim en zeer verzorgd. Als je met kleine kinderen gaat, wel opletten, er is een trap naar de tuin en een stijle helling naar het zwembad. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Bij kleine issues deed hij meteen het nodige zonder je privacy te storen. De bedden waren netjes gemaakt en het huis was heel proper. De ontvangst heb ik zelden zo fijn meegemaakt. Een aanrader!

Summary: Charmant huis in het midden van een kleine stad. Heerlijk zwembad. ingesloten door het groen. Perfect om tot rust te komen. Het huis is volledig en goed uitgerust. Keuken met alle toestellen. (oven, microgolf, inductievuur, vaatwasmachine, ...) Goed gelegen om de naburige bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken. Super vakantie.
