Positive: I loved my time here at this property. The family hosting were lovely, the food was amazing and it was so peaceful. Know that the accomodation is incredibly basic, but the price is very fair considering what you get. I would absolutely stay here again if I return. P.S. they also have 2 family dogs there. One of them is a puppy named Ken. Give them a cuddle for me if you go

Positive: Fantastic experience at Charita Rest. The young owner, Charita, runs this place together with his parents with great passion and kindness. We felt welcomed like family from the very first moment. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Charita prepared both dinner and breakfast for us — both excellent, authentic, and cooked with care. He also organized a boat safari at Gal Oya National Park for us, complete with a picnic — an unforgettable experience to discover the park and the island's wild nature. Perfect location for exploring Gal Oya and the Ampara/Inginiyagala area, far from mass tourism. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, family-run experience in the heart of Sri Lanka. Positive: The acoommodation is very comfortable with a beautiful garden, and all the staff including Charitha are very helpful. We had a safari organised for us and breakfast/dinner provided, all for a fair price. The safari was one of our favorite experiences in all of Sri Lanka.

Negative: Portion sizes of breakfast and dinner could be increased, but the food was very delicious :-)
