Summary: This is our second time to stay at Charles Nelson Schmick. We have stayed in two different rooms and really enjoyed the experience. The owner Priscilla is lovely - her breakfast superb - and she is quick to talk about the history of this beautiful historic location. Every room is a stunner and it’s fun to talk to others at breakfast. So much charm and character. Over the Xmas holidays the house was in full holiday regalia - so beautiful. So much time and care has gone in to this house - don’t miss it.

Summary: By chance I had the entire house to myself which most would think could be eire. However, I loved being able to explore and admire the beautiful wood work throughout the house, the details of each and every room.

Summary: This place is a beautiful restored mansion that has charm and character. The woodwork is incredible and the furnishings are lovely. A few rough edges, as you might expect in a home of this age, but overall a lovely respite from the world. Our only comment is that the sheets in the Honey Room need replaced. I would recommend to any one passing through the area.

Summary: This was my first Bed and Breakfast stay. The house is beautiful and interesting down to the last detail! Priscilla was very welcoming and we were treated like royalty. Breakfast was AMAZING! The Peaches and Cream French Toast was to die for! She even left us pie to have as a bedtime snack. We were on the third floor and the room as a little warm. We would have opened a window but there were no screens on the windows. Throughout the night - about every 30 or 40 minutes - you could hear the train blowing its whistle. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to bring ear plugs or noise canceling headphones. I will definitely book this place again next year when we go to the local Christmas in the Woods craft show. But next year I will bring my headphones.

Summary: What a lovely place. We were the only guest there in that great house. The interior was beautiful. It made you feel that you were in the 1800's. The owner was very friendly and willing to share her knowledge of the house and area. I would advise anyone coming to this area to stay here. Only wish there were folding luggage racks in each room. Can't wait to come back!
