Summary: Location was important to us - we wanted to be near our kids, and they were just minutes down the rode. High Acres Cottage was everything you could ask for and more - it had everything we needed to feel at home.! Oh, and the baked goods that are offered on the property are to die for!

Summary: What a wonderful cottage to spend the first sunny, warm week of Summer 2022! The cottage was very comfortable and equipped with everything my daughter and I needed. We loved swimming in the pond when the thermometer reached the 90's. The farmers living next door supplied us with the most delicious honey and violet jelly, breads, pizza dough, fresh eggs and asparagus picked that day. Mary was very helpful, promptly answering any questions I had. We were made to feel very welcome. Great place to stay in the beautiful town of Strafford, VT.

Summary: Where do I start, it was such a positive experience. A very, very well kept cottage. So many ways to let light in the house and be able to see in all directions to nature. So quiet and peaceful. It had everything you need for a nice stay. The Duck Duck Goat farm stand was EXCELLENT! Right at the bottom of driveway. The pastries and fresh eggs were just awesome. All the way home we were trying to narrow down a time to come back. The family and home is loaded with history. We enjoyed looking at the pictures and going through the books in the library. Thanks so much for sharing your cottage. Thank You! Dave and Lynn Silvia , Somerset, MA. It was our 44th anniversary and it could not have been any better..

Summary: Mary was very nice and easy to communicate with. The owners left fresh flowers in a vase on the table for our arrival. The property was gorgeous! The flowers and pond were amazing to view while sitting on the porch. A very welcoming and comfortable place with room for all 4 of us. My kids enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the pond. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t get to try some of the fresh veggies and baked goods being offered because we ate dinner most nights with our family who live in the area.

Summary: High Acres is a beautiful place both inside and out. Centrally located in the Hanover/ Norwich/White River Junction area there is much to do and see. Or you can just relax by the pond. The house has all that you need and the hosts are always responsive. As an added benefit, the hosts’ son can provide freshly baked bread and eggs. I hope to be back soon.
