Summary: We had a short stay to hunt. We had to leave for a family emergency, however, the house worked perfectly for our family. Parking was a little tight but completely negligible. Will stay again!

Summary: Lovely country house on the outside. The inside is a little spare, not particularly 'homey', but that left a lot of room for luggage, etc. Everything was in good order and clean.

Summary: The Rabbit Retreat is a cute little rental retreat hidden away in the mountains of Tennessee. If you would like to get away for a while with the family or alone, this is a great place. It is about an hour from Nashville which is still close enough if you want to get into the city. The drive in is scenic. It's only a few minutes to Gainsboro with good restaurants or 25 minutes to Cookville with more mainstream fare. GPS directions will get you there, but the driveway is a little hard to find at first. Be aware there is hardly any cell coverage at the location. If you are depending on a cell for directions and communications, you'll likely have no signal within 5-10 minutes. There is WiFi in the home that works well with WiFi calling inside the rental. For us, this was a bonus to avoid the electronic distractions. The rental itself had everything we needed including paper products that were more than sufficient for our stay. There were plenty of linens and towels and such. There were also cleaning products. The owner is very responsive and has local people for any issues, though we had none during our stay. The prime feature of this property is definitely the porch. It is a large and inviting porch with a swing and plenty of seating. We found ourselves naturally gravitating to the porch for breakfast/coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening. Everyone enjoyed our time sitting on the porch and talking with minimal electronics.

Summary: The Rabbit Retreat was a nice home nestled in-between 2 cities. It was a perfect spot for our activities. It was decorated between old time farm house and a modern look. My dad uses a walker and the hallways and 1st floor bathroom were wide enough to accommodate. The place was big enough to host some of our family get togethers. There were extra games that they had upstairs that we played. The place was clean and had no bugs or critters present. The front porch was lovely to spend time on with family. The breeze was perfect under the covered porch. A couple of things toe aware that you "may" have issues sending or receiving texts/calls though. There is wifi but even with wifi we had challenges. I have US Cellular for service and I was only able to get texting service in a back bedroom. I was not able to make calls. My niece who has Verizon for cell service was able to make calls with spotty reception. We did switch my phone to make calls using wifi but it still didn't work. Bare in mind that there is no garbage removal service so if you depart on Mon, Wed, Friday or Sat you are asked to bring your garbage to the local recycling place. The other days, the cleaning service takes care of the garbage. I am not sure if it was the stove or the frying pans or user error but we couldn't make a decent fried egg and ended up making scrambled eggs in the microwave, lol. The owner was very quick to respond to questions.

Summary: Very nice and spacious house! In a nice secluded area, which provided some time for peace and quiet. Some pretty neat shops around the town that wife and daughter enjoyed! Knocked a star on cleanliness because there were dead flies in several places upon arrival. I would definitely recommend the cleaning crew clean these upon each guests arrival. I can only assume this goes hand in hand with the country life, so wasn’t a huge deal. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

Summary: We loved staying here for our family vacation! Communication with Ms. Garner was excellent and she was always quick to answer any question I had.
