This unique home was tastefully renovated to be an ideal weekend or vacation cottage in an convenient location, very close to the center of the iconic village of Sheffield MA. An easy drive to all the cultural attractions of the Berkshires, as well as a wide range of outdoor adventures are at your fingertips. Summer or fall, walk or bike into the small town of Sheffield or drive 15 minutes to Great Barrington where you can access all the top restaurants, beloved co-operative market, and trendy shops. There is easy access to many hiking spots, including the Appalachian Trail. In the winter, its a quick drive to family friendly skiing at Butternut (20 min) AND Catamount (10 min). The cottage has all modern conveniences and furniture, including brand new beds and mattresses. While it is officially a 1 bedroom with a queen bed, the sweet loft area can sleep two on twin mattresses and the couch in the living room is a queen pullout (also new mattress). The kitchen has everything that a cook might need, including a beautiful wide, soapstone countertop with a deep sink and plenty of space for preparing a meal. Relax on the front porch in two rocking swings, in the lush perennial gardens, or on the chairs on the large deck that overlooks a grassy yard. The home is 3/4 fenced in and private (though on a main road), for relaxing or barbecuing and enjoying a meal al fresco. This cottage has been fully booked for summer and winter rentals with a previous owner, so now is your chance to spend some time at this special vacation home.

Summary: Perfect is the way to describe this home! We had 2 couples and it worked ideally. Loft is cozy and extremely comfortable, steep access and low ceiling were fine as long as you are agile. House had everything we needed, well equipped, super clean and quality New England feel. Highly recommend staying here, great location !!!

Summary: The house was very clean and comfy. Loved all the little touches to it! Even though it is located on a busier street, it was still very quiet. Perfect proximity to all that the Berkshires has to offer!

Summary: My boyfriend and I stayed at the cottage for a long weekend getaway and our stay was lovely. The property is spacious and quiet and the inside of the cottage is beautifully renovated and decorated with a cozy, rustic feel. Having all of the amenities (full kitchen, washer and dryer, grill, firepit, etc) made everything feel like home as we had everything we needed. This place is perfect for a getaway whether you decide to stay in and relax, or go out and explore the Berkshires (about 10-15 from Great Barrington and super close to a few hiking trailheads). Overall, I'd recommend this cozy place!

Summary: We had a terrific stay last weekend. My wife and I and our two adults kids. We enjoyed it very much. The property is private and peaceful with landscaping and gardens that are far more than expected. The interior is thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. We recommend this property - you will not be disappointed. Also the location of the property is central to any number of destinations in the Berkshires.

Summary: My 3 friends and I had a great time at this cottage. The kitchen, patio, and grill were all perfect for hanging out and making meals together, and the property feels very private. Would definitely recommend!

Summary: Annie’s property was an adorably renovated cottage that was perfect for our family of 4. Our girls loved the attic beds and all of the fun hiding spots. Unfortunately, it rained for 72 hours straight so we did not get to enjoy the picturesque garden and yard but we will hopefully return. This house is best fit for a single family with a car—town is very close but not walking distance. We appreciated the fenced in yard and while the house is on a main road, it was never bothersome.
