Summary: The lawn hadn't been mowed probably all spring, so there was no sitting outside to enjoy the weather and no kids running around playing in the yard or tossing a baseball to one another. We were there 6 nights, so in that time (4 of this being sunny and beautiful) I fully expected someone to show up and mow the lawn. I would have been okay with that. But no one ever came. I had to do all my cooking in pots because there was no frying pan...Ever tried making fried potatoes in a pot? They end up mush...so I had to convert a cookie sheet to a griddle over the burners which I promise you had its own challenges. The property needs to be fumigated because a very large cockroach came scurrying across the floor while we were watching tv, and I had to run to the neighbor's in a rainstorm to borrow a can opener because there was none on the property. The house itself in regards to space was great. Though I'm not sure how they can claim to house so many when there's not enough seating in the living room or the dining room. Plenty of beds though! In spite of the difficulties with cooking and the inability to enjoy ourselves outside, it was nicer than being cramped in a hotel room or 2. I expected more, and got less. Maybe next time they'll be more prepared for guests
