We bought #13 after falling in love with Le Marche, the charm of Cupramontana and the tranquil setting of the house.
The intervening years have seen a gradual renovation and sympathetic restoration celebrating the traditional and beautiful architecture of an Italian stone farmhouse.
It’s not all been work! We love exploring the regions of Le Marche, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna.
The surrounding countryside, in which this charming old farmhouse sits, is defined by this wonderful Verdicchio wine region.
After a day of exploration in the mountains, coastline or any of the numerous medieval towns cool off in the pool and relax in the garden.
There are 2 dining areas - we prefer breakfast at the front of the house before moving to the pergola, with its shade provided by the vines & cherry trees, for lunch and dinner. A BBQ is provided to complete the al fresco experience.
The house is well-equipped to ensure your stay is as stress free as possible. Upon arrival you will be met by an English couple who have lived locally for a number of years and who will help you settle in.

Summary: Such a relaxing break. We spent most mornings visiting one of the many towns within a short drive, then the afternoon by the pool and the evening either in Jesi or at the house on the outside terrace. An easy drive to the coast, to a fresh water lake, vineyards. Simply wonderful area. The house had everything we needed, incl well equipped kitchen. No complaints at all.

Summary: We have had a very nice 11 day holiday and like the house and place very much. Julia and John awaited us and took us down the last mile..that is a challenging one for the first time but you get used quickly. Pool is lovely and well kept by John. We loved the area and the many great places and restaurants. Thanks Diane and family.

Summary: What a wonderful property, set in the rolling fields and woodlands of rural Marche with a real feel of rural Italy. Every window has a view and every view brings calm and peace. The house has a lovely atmosphere whether inside or out, enhanced by traditional materials and features. The pool, so ably maintained by the affable Tony & Lesley, was our saviour when the mercury hit 39, the waters cooling everything off with a smile, along with a G&T or two. Cupramontana is the local town, providing excellent opportunities for shopping, dining or having a beer and watching the world go by as you throw a peanut or two down. If you get a chance, get out on those backroads especially over Urbino way, where you will find castles, palaces, churches & cathedrals. It is a wonderful holiday when 2 weeks is simply not enough.

Summary: We had 14 wonderfull days in fam. Ivers house beginning july 2017. It was fantastic :o) We were 5 adults and 3 children enjoying the pool, the local market, the local wineyards ( mainly White Wine) and restaurants. Food and wine for very fair prices. A good 5 ltr. Local bottle of Wine for €9! The beaches are around 40 min. away, We sent to Senigallia, a beautyfull beach with perfect conditions for children. The local landlords, Tony & Lesley (GB) took care of everything, the pool etc. - and always avaliable If needed. Their kindness and service made every our stay very comfortable. Summary: We have just returned from 2 weeks in Cupramontana and have had a wonderful time. The house is full of character and has everything you need. It has the most amazing views. Very peaceful. The children particularly enjoyed using the pool. We also made use of Diana and Brendan's dvd collection some evenings in their comfortable lounge. The town is only a short drive away and has a number of good restaurants - a lovely, friendly place to wander around. The children's favourite places were Cafe Ruggero (ice creams) and Ristorante Gina (pizza). Lesley and Tony, who look after the house were amazing. Incredibly helpful. We had a flat tyre and not only did they help change the spare, but they insisted on coming to the local garage to help us buy a replacement (our Italian wasn't quite up to that) and then kept popping into the garage to check if it was in stock yet as we needed exactly the same tyre as on the hire car. There are some beautiful places to explore nearby. The Frasassi caves are amazing - well worth seeing. The children were captivated. All in all, a wonderful holiday!

Summary: We are a family with 2 young children; 4 and 2. We loved our holiday; the house, the facilities, toys, pool, Bonci's wine, the location, the local town and the general area. We had a mixture of day trips and a beach holiday. We returned home happy and relaxed. Prior to our holiday Diana answered any questions we had. Thank you. We spoke often and she could not have been more helpful. Tony, Lesley and Molly were very unobtrusive and extremely warm and helpful, again thank you! The local town is beautiful; its market, its cafes and lots of affordable great Italian eating options. Our only two regrets are; 1. our poor spoken Italian, as this area is not a tourist trap, a little bit of the language would be good. The local Italians are extremely warm and helpful and we always got by. 2. Getting home to cold london.. But a great holiday has to end:) We were so happy here! We would love to get back. Thank you.
