Located in the countryside in a small quiet village, just 3 minutes by car from the most beautiful Landing beaches (Arromanches, Asnelles) and less than 10 minutes from Bayeux, this very functional and cozy cottage offers you all the comfort and comfort. necessary equipment you can dream of for your vacation.
The main house (70 mยฒ) includes on the ground floor an American kitchen (fully equipped) open to a living room with a very beautiful fireplace which will delight you during your autumn or winter evenings (wood not provided, possibility to buy it on site in specialized stores located less than 10 minutes from the house).
3 large sofas (including 1 large sofa bed purchased in May 2023, offering real sleeping accommodation for 2 people with a 140*190 mattress) will allow you to relax and share good times with your family.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom (with toilet). Bedroom nยฐ1 is equipped with a 160*200 double bed (with an umbrella bed and its mattress), bedrooms nยฐ2 and nยฐ3 are equipped with a 140*190 double bed.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 also have books and toys for children aged 3 to 12, as well as an office space.
The outbuilding (not communicating with the main house) consists of a laundry area on the ground floor (with oil boiler, washing machine and dryer) and upstairs a closed room reserved for the owner.
In summary, there are 3 double beds and 1 sofa bed in the main house (i.e. 8 beds). However, I limit the rental to 6 people maximum, for greater comfort, particularly since there is only one bathroom and one toilet for the whole family.
Another important clarification: all beds are made upon arrival, and each traveler has a set of towels (1 small and 1 large).
The fully enclosed grounds offer you a south-facing terrace, not overlooked, equipped with a teak table for 6 people and 6 garden chairs, a large offset parasol and a Weber charcoal barbecue (charcoal and firelighters not supplied), enough to take full advantage of the sun and the long summer days.
On the lawn part, with an area of โ€‹โ€‹approximately 95 mยฒ, children can enjoy a swing, as well as a trampoline.

Summary: We very much enjoyed our recent stay in Ryes! The house is charming and well-equipped, and was the perfect location for exploring Bayeux and the D-Day beaches and museums. The host, Alexandre, shared information about the area, left plenty of instructions for how the house/appliances work, and responded quickly to my messages. Should you have children with you (we did not), the house is well set up to entertain them (with games, a swing set, etc.). Over all, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this charming house.

Summary: The house was great, in a lovely spot close to the beaches and Bayeux. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We also enjoyed the garden and outdoor seating area. We would highly recommend this property, we had a fabulous family holiday.

Summary: The house was nice, the interior was very full. The bedrooms a little smal, the beds a little to small for me. We saw Some Ants walking in the rooms. Big and modern Kitchen. Nice garden. Parking next to the house was impossible. Overall al pleasant stay

Summary: As a group of 4 motorcyclists on a WW11 tour we had a great time staying here ... Ate our evening meals in the garden and toured Normandy by day . We used the three double rooms in the house and found them very comfortable for our needs . If you stay here you must bring your own towels with you , we had to go and buy some as we were tight for luggage space and didn't have any with us . It's a very nice house with a large lounge and 3 big sofa's and a good sized tv .... Yes I would stay here again if travelling in the area .

Summary: Your house is perfectly situated for exploring the area as it is only 5mins from Arromanche and 10mins from Bayeux; it was lovely and clean when we arrived; and we were pleased to have the morning shop to buy fresh bread from. Your house itself is lovely and had everything we needed, including a hairdryer, proper mugs, lovely mattresses and duvets, and a good set of knives! Our 2 teenage boys were also very satisfied with your WiFi connection and we loved your surround sound TV system!
