Located on the hillside on the southern slope of the Luberon, Mériba, our family house, enjoys a beautiful natural environment of one hectare and a very nice view of the Provencal countryside, the castle of Lourmarin, the valley of the Durance, and to the west on the garrigue and the Luberon.
Facing south, it is bordered by a large terrace offering several shaded areas depending on the time of day.
It involves :
1. On the ground floor
- a spacious living room opening onto a large terrace overlooking the olive trees and the Durance valley. Dining room and living room with TV corner.
- Adjoining fitted kitchen, as well as a utility room with washing machine and dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, 1 freezer.
- 1 separate toilet
- 1 bedroom sleeping 160 (2 separate beds) with sink, French window overlooking the garden.
- 1 bedroom sleeping 160 (2 separate beds).
- 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds (folding bed also available)
- 1 bathroom with bathtub and WC.
2. On the 1st floor:
- 1 small extra bedroom with a single bed (90 cm) adjoining the master bedroom
- 1 large master bedroom sleeping 180 cm (2x90) opening onto a private terrace. Facing south, lovely view of the olive trees and the valley, direct access to the garden.
- 1 bathroom with bath and WC adjoining the bedroom.
3. A large independent studio, south facing, adjoining the house, 180 cm bed (2x90), bathroom with bath and WC
The swimming pool, 10m x 5m, between scrubland and olive trees, offers a magnificent view of the castle and the surroundings.
Next to it, the '' workshop '', which includes a toilet and a small extra shower room.
TV, Wifi,
Garden furniture, barbecue, outdoor games for children (slide, swing).
Bed and bathroom linen are provided.

Summary: We travelled as a couple and had a wonderful stay. The house, including the very good and clean pool, has a fantastic view and is very private. The only person we saw during the whole week was the pool man that came once. The house is very well equipped and felt like a real home. If you can read French there are hundreds of books. Unfortunately we only found one book in English, a book for small children. The master bedroom, the one we used, is the only bedroom with air conditioning. The remaining bedrooms are, however, located away from the sun so they should be comfortable as well if the weather is hot. Lourmarin, 15 to 20 minutes away by foot, is a wonderful town where you can find most things including a good bakery that we visited every morning. It is a perfect way to start the day. We will come back!

Summary: The house is very much a family home with some quirky old fashioned decor: characterful rather than smart. It provides both space and privacy for three couples plus ample shared areas. The outdoor space is excellent for both sun and shade with a fine well maintained pool and lovely views of near and distant wooded hills. Lourmarin is an easy 15 minute walk away with lots of options for eating, shopping and markets. It makes a fine secluded base for exploring north and south of the luberon ridge. The owners were helpful and communicative.

Summary: My family and I had an amazing trip to Provence. A large part of that was our stay at your home. Not only are the views from the home beautiful, but the home situated in an ideal location, a short walk to Lourmarin and a convenient drive to numerous destinations. The manager for the house made our stay even more convenient by helping to buy groceries before we arrived and by picking us up from the train station. Would definitely recommend this house for a stay in the area to anyone.
